🌾 WHEN ZION DOESN’T NEED FIXING

🌾 WHEN ZION DOESN’T NEED FIXING

Learning from the Nemenhah and the Peace They Found

You know, a buddy of mine wrote me the other day.
He said, “The Nemenhah were living in such a peaceful society that there was no need to call upon them for intervention.”

At first, I didn’t really get it.
What does that even mean — “no need to call upon them”?
But the more I sat with it, the more it started to make sense.
And it might just be one of the simplest, truest things I’ve heard in a long time.

πŸ•Š️ What He Meant

When he said the Nemenhah didn’t need to be called upon, he meant there was nothing broken that needed fixing.

You only call a mechanic when your truck’s broke down.
You only call the doctor when you’re sick.
You only call Heaven when your world’s coming apart.

But the Nemenhah had their lives so tuned to God’s peace that they didn’t need rescuing.
They weren’t waiting for angels, or prophets, or armies to fix anything.
They had already learned to live the way Heaven lives — with love, fairness, forgiveness, and cooperation.

Their homes were in order.
Their hearts were clean.
They were already walking with God.

That’s why there was no need for intervention — because Heaven was already among them.

🌿 The Real Meaning of Zion

A lot of folks think “Zion” means a city with gold streets or a big temple shining on a hill.
But Zion isn’t about geography — it’s about how people treat each other.

Zion happens when:

  • there are no poor among us,

  • no contention,

  • no pride,

  • and everyone looks after everyone else.

The Nemenhah had that kind of peace.
They didn’t have bishops or presidents running around telling them what to do — because they were already living by the Spirit.
Their peace was their testimony.

That’s Zion.

πŸ”₯ What It Means for Us

We live in a time where it feels like the world’s breaking down.
Everyone’s arguing, scrolling, shouting, and dividing.
But maybe the answer isn’t out there somewhere — maybe it’s right here, inside us.

Maybe God’s saying, “Stop waiting for someone to fix it — just live My peace.”

Start small.
Turn off the noise.
Be kind first.
Forgive faster than you think you can.
Help without being asked.

That’s how Zion starts — one home, one heart, one conversation at a time.

✨ The Quiet Miracle

When people live like that, miracles get quieter.
You don’t see fire from heaven — you just see calm hearts and happy kids.
You see neighbors waving again.
You see families laughing together.

And you realize:

When you live right, Heaven doesn’t need to step in.
Because you’ve already stepped into Heaven.

πŸ“– A Few Scriptures to Hold On To

  • 3 Nephi 12:9 — “Blessed are the peacemakers.”

  • Moses 7:18 — “The Lord called His people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind.”

  • Nemenhah Records, Book of Mohrhohnahyah 5:10 — “When the people walked in peace, the heavens rejoiced and the earth was glad.”

πŸŒ„ Hick-from-the-Sticks Takeaway

You don’t need a prophet to tell you to be kind.
You don’t need a vision to know how to love.
You just live so steady, so honest, so peaceful — that God doesn’t have to send anybody to straighten you out.

That’s Zion.
That’s the dream.
And that’s where we’re headed — one peaceful heart at a time.
