“Why Jesus Lets You Struggle — And Why It Means He Trusts You”

(Based on Video #10 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)

Hello friends.
It’s me again…
just a worn-out old man sitting with a Bible,
a Book of Mormon,
a little Nemenhah wisdom,
and a lifetime of wrestling with heaven.

And today’s message —
the message of Video 10 —
is one that every disciple needs to hear:

Sometimes Jesus lets you struggle
because He trusts you with the lesson.

Not because you’re forgotten.
Not because you’ve failed.
Not because He’s disappointed.
But because He knows what’s inside you —
and He’s bringing it out.

Let’s walk into this together.

πŸ§—‍♂️ 1) Struggle Is Not Punishment — It’s Training

This is the first truth we need to clear up.

When life gets heavy,
most people think:

“God must be upset with me.”

But the scriptures give a different picture:

“Whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth.”
— Hebrews 12:6

Not meaning “punish.”
Meaning “train,” “shape,” “mold,” “strengthen.”

The Book of Mormon says:

“After much tribulation come the blessings.”
— Ether 12:6

The Nemenhah Records echo:

“The Peacemaker refines the willing soul with small storms.”

If you’re struggling,
it might just mean heaven is preparing you…
not punishing you.

πŸ”₯ 2) The Lord Lets You Push Because He Knows You Won’t Break

This is the heart of Video 10.

God knows exactly what you can handle.
Exactly what you can grow through.
Exactly how far He can stretch you.

He told Joseph:

“All these things shall give thee experience
and shall be for thy good.”

— D&C 122:7

You know what that means?

Your test is tailored.

Heaven measured it.
Weighed it.
Balanced it.
And then placed it gently in your hands.

Not to crush you.
But to strengthen you.

If you’re in it…
He knows you can walk through it.

πŸŒ‘ 3) When Jesus Seems Quiet — He’s Letting Your Faith Stand

This is where most disciples struggle.

You pray…
and heaven is quiet.

You ask for answers…
nothing.

But remember the story:

Jesus fell asleep during the storm

—not before it.

He let the disciples feel the wind
so they could discover their faith.

Then He rose,
spoke peace,
and calmed everything.

Sometimes God steps back
so you can step forward.

Sometimes He lets the silence settle
so your faith can grow strong enough
to hear His whisper.

🧩 4) The Struggle Reveals What You’re Made Of

Video 10 lays it out like this:

Pressure reveals the real you.

Not to shame you.
To show you.

• Are you patient?
• Are you humble?
• Are you willing?
• Will you trust Him in the dark?
• Will you keep walking when the path is unclear?
• Will you choose faith over fear?

This is where discipleship becomes real.

Moroni said:

“You receive no witness
until after the trial of your faith.”

— Ether 12:6

The trial is the X-ray.
The witness is the healing.

🌱 5) Jesus Lets You Struggle Because He’s Growing Roots

This is one of the sweetest parts of the message.

Shallow faith grows fast
but dies quickly.

Deep faith grows slow
but can withstand anything.

David said:

“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
Thou art with me.”

— Psalm 23:4

Notice what he didn’t say:

• Not “run through”
• Not “escape from”
• Not “avoid altogether”

Walk through.

Roots are grown in valleys, not mountaintops.

And the Nemenhah add:

“Strength is not in the calm,
but in the steps taken during the trembling.”

Your roots deepen
every time you choose faith while trembling.

πŸ•Š️ 6) Jesus Is Never Far — Even When You Can’t Feel Him

This is one of the most important lessons:

His silence is not His absence.

He promised:

“I will not leave you comfortless.”
— John 14:18

“I am with you always.”
— Matthew 28:20

“My Spirit shall be in your heart.”
— D&C 84:88

The Nemenhah say:

“He is nearest when you feel alone.”

You may not feel Him.
You may not see Him.
You may not hear Him.

But He is there.

Closer than breath.
Closer than heartbeat.
Closer than the struggle itself.

πŸ… 7) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today

Here’s the whole message of Video 10 in one simple line:

“Your struggle is not a sign of My absence —
it’s a sign of My confidence in you.”

He believes in you.
He trusts you.
He knows what’s inside you.
He knows what you can become.
He knows the light that’s forming in your soul right now.

Your struggle is shaping you.
Refining you.
Deepening you.
Preparing you.

And Jesus is walking every step beside you.
