“How to Feel the Savior’s Presence When You’re Completely Overwhelmed”

(Based on Video #12 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)

Hello friends.
It’s me again…
an old man from the sticks who has been overwhelmed more times than he’d like to admit.
Life piles up.
People disappoint.
Bodies fail.
Responsibilities multiply.
And before you know it…
your soul feels crushed under the weight.

But here’s the truth of Video 12:

Jesus shows up the strongest
when you feel the weakest.

Let’s walk into this beautiful, needed message together.

🌪️ 1) Overwhelm Isn’t a Sign You’re Failing — It’s a Sign You’re Human

Many of us confuse exhaustion with weakness.
We think:

“I’m overwhelmed — I must not be spiritual enough.”
“I’m drowning — I must be disappointing God.”
“I can’t keep up — I must be backsliding.”

But scripture says the opposite:

“Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”

— Matthew 11:28

Notice He didn’t say:
“Come to Me all you perfect people…”
or
“Come when you have your life together…”

He said:
Come when you’re tired.
Come when you’re overwhelmed.
Come when you’re burdened.

Those are the ones He calls first.

🫂 2) Jesus Draws Near to the Weary, Not the Strong

This is such an important truth in Video 12:

Jesus is attracted to your weakness,
not repelled by it.

He came:

“…to bind up the brokenhearted.”
— Isaiah 61:1

He lifted Peter when he sank.
He touched lepers.
He restored the outcast.
He blessed the poor in spirit.
He sought the crushed and the forgotten.

And the Nemenhah Records add:

“He walks strongest with the bowed soul.”

If you feel bowed down today,
you’re in the perfect place for Him to lift you.

🌧️ 3) Overwhelm Makes You Reach — and That’s When Heaven Moves

When you get overwhelmed,
you stop pretending you’re in control.
You stop running.
You stop hiding.
You stop trying to muscle your way through.

And you finally say:

“Lord…
I can’t do this alone.”

That is the moment heaven steps in.

The brother of Jared cried from the dust:
“Lord, look upon me in pity.”

And God touched the stones and filled them with light.
— Ether 3

The Book of Mormon teaches:

“It is by grace that we are saved,
after all we can do.”

— 2 Nephi 25:23

Not after all your strength.
After all your effort.
After all your trying.

Grace comes when you’re done trying to fix everything yourself.

🧎‍♂️ 4) How to Feel the Savior’s Presence in the Middle of Overwhelm

Video 12 gives a simple, holy, repeatable pattern
for the moments when life feels too big:

1) Sit down. Stop moving.

Let your soul catch up to your body.

2) Breathe slowly.

Your nervous system needs space to hear the whisper.

3) Say His name out loud.

“Jesus…”
It opens the heart immediately.

4) Tell Him exactly what’s crushing you.

Don’t filter it.
Don’t dress it up.
Don’t pretend.

5) Ask for His peace — not solutions.

Peace calms the storm inside
so solutions can come later.

6) Sit in the quiet for 30 seconds.

Let the Spirit wash over you.

7) Expect Him to come.

Because He will.

The Nemenhah say:

“He fills the stillness before He fills the need.”

🧡 5) Peace Is the Proof of His Presence

You’ll know He’s there because something shifts in your soul:

• Your chest loosens.
• Your breathing slows.
• Your mind quiets.
• Your fear settles.
• Your heart warms.
• Your thoughts brighten.

The scriptures say:

“My peace I give unto you…
not as the world giveth.”

— John 14:27

It’s not worldly peace.
Not circumstantial peace.
Not temporary relief.

It’s heavenly.
It’s deep.
It’s healing.
It’s unmistakable.

Peace is the signature of Jesus.

🪨 6) Overwhelm Teaches You to Stand on the Rock

There’s a reason Jesus doesn’t remove every burden instantly.

He’s teaching you where to stand.

“The Lord is my rock…
and my strong tower.”

— Psalm 18:2

The Nemenhah Records say:

“He becomes our foundation
when all other supports crumble.”

You don’t learn to trust the Rock
until the sand shifts under your feet.

Overwhelm doesn’t break you —
it moves you to the only safe place.

🕊️ 7) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today

Here’s the whole message of Video 12 in one sacred line:

“I am closest to you
when you feel the most overwhelmed.”

Not far.
Not silent.
Not disappointed.

Close.

This moment —
right here —
may be the moment He is nearest.

Talk to Him.
Reach for Him.
Breathe with Him.
Walk with Him.

Let Him carry what you cannot.

He will.

He always does.
