“How to Hear Jesus When You’re Afraid of Making the Wrong Decision”
(Based on Video #17 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)
Hello friends.
It’s just me again…
that old man from the sticks
who has made more mistakes than he can count —
and learned, slowly and painfully,
that Jesus is not afraid of your decisions.
Only of your distance.
That’s the message of Video 17:
How do you talk with Jesus when you’re scared of choosing wrong —
and how do you trust that He’ll guide you even if you mess up?
This one sets people free.
Let’s walk into it.
😟 1) Fear of Making the Wrong Choice Blocks Revelation
Most people think their biggest enemy is sin.
But honestly?
One of the biggest enemies of revelation
is fear of getting it wrong.
Fear tightens your chest.
Fear clutters your mind.
Fear shuts down your ability to feel the Spirit.
Fear paralyzes the soul.
The Book of Mormon says:
“There is no fear in love…
but perfect love casteth out all fear.”
— Moroni 8:16
If your decision-making is full of fear,
you won’t hear clearly.
You weren’t designed for fear —
you were designed for walk-with-Him faith.
🌬 2) Jesus Guides Best When You Start Moving
This is the heart of Video 17.
God steers movers —
not sitters.
Nephi said:
“I was led by the Spirit,
not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.”
— 1 Nephi 4:6
He moved.
Then the guidance came.
The Nemenhah Records echo:
“The step brings the whisper.”
The worst thing you can do
is sit in indecision
waiting for absolute certainty.
Jesus rarely gives full clarity
to people who won’t take the first step.
Faith is a verb.
🧭 3) If Your Heart Is Right — You Can’t Ruin God’s Plan for You
This one heals people fast.
If you’re honestly trying to follow Jesus
— sincerely —
you cannot out-sabotage His sovereignty.
He is greater than your mistakes.
He promised:
“In all thy ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct thy paths.”
— Proverbs 3:6
He did NOT say:
“He will direct your paths
only if you choose perfectly.”
No.
He’ll guide you
while you’re choosing.
He’ll redirect you
if you choose wrong.
He’ll protect you
even when you stumble.
A good Shepherd never loses a sincere sheep.
🔄 4) Jesus Has Three Ways of Responding to Your Decisions
When you bring a choice to Him,
He answers in one of three ways:
✔ 1) Peace — “Yes, walk this way.”
Your soul settles.
Your heart warms.
The direction feels right.
✔ 2) Restraint — “No, don’t do that.”
You feel uneasy.
You feel checked.
You feel a gentle “stop.”
✔ 3) Silence — “Either path is fine, I’ll be with you.”
Silence is often permission.
Not disapproval.
The Nemenhah say:
“When the Peacemaker is silent,
walk in the way that is good,
and He shall walk with you.”
Sometimes He lets you choose
because He trusts your heart.
🕯 5) Your Desire Matters More to Jesus Than Your Accuracy
This is one of the most important truths in the video:
Jesus isn’t grading your decisions.
He’s watching your intent.
He cares about:
• your honesty
• your humility
• your willingness
• your desire to please Him
• your trust in Him
• your surrender of your will
If those things are in place…
He will ALWAYS
— without fail —
guide you
correct you
redirect you
or protect you.
The Book of Mormon says:
“If ye shall seek, ye shall find…
if ye knock, it shall be opened.”
— 3 Nephi 14:7
Not:
“If ye choose perfectly…”
Just:
“If ye seek Me.”
🔥 6) Jesus Can Turn a Wrong Turn Into the Right Path
This is divine math:
A sincere heart
+
a wrong step
God will turn it into the right path.
Every hero in scripture
made wrong decisions:
• Nephi
• Alma
• Joseph Smith
• Peter
• Jonah
• Abraham
• Moses
• Paul
And Jesus STILL brought them to their destiny.
The Nemenhah say:
“The willing soul cannot be lost,
for the Peacemaker gathers them always.”
If your heart is turned toward Him,
you are safe.
Even if you step wrong.
🕊 7) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today
Here’s the entire message of Video 17
in one freeing, life-changing sentence:
“Stop fearing the wrong choice —
I will walk with you either way.”
You cannot ruin your life
if your life is surrendered to Him.
You cannot wreck His plan
if you’re trying to follow His voice.
You cannot get lost
if the Shepherd is walking beside you.
Talk to Him.
Take a step.
Trust the whisper.
Trust His presence.
He will not let you miss your destiny.
