“How to Hear Jesus When You’re Waiting for a Miracle”
(Based on Video #18 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)
Hello friends.
It’s me again…
the old man from the sticks,
sitting in a quiet room with my Bible,
my Book of Mormon,
and a heart that has spent many seasons
waiting on God.
Waiting for a miracle.
Waiting for healing.
Waiting for direction.
Waiting for a breakthrough.
Waiting for the storm to stop.
Waiting for the answer that seems slow in coming.
That’s the message of Video 18:
How do you talk with Jesus
when you’re in a season of waiting —
and nothing seems to be happening?
Let’s walk slowly through this one.
Waiting seasons are holy ground.
⏳ 1) Waiting Is Not God Ignoring You — It’s God Preparing You
This is the first truth to settle deep in your soul:
When God makes you wait,
He is not punishing you.
He is not withholding love.
He is not delaying out of anger.
He is preparing something.
The Book of Mormon teaches:
“Ye cannot receive a witness
until after the trial of your faith.”
— Ether 12:6
Waiting is part of the witness.
Waiting is part of the miracle.
Waiting is part of the transformation.
The Nemenhah Records echo:
“The Peacemaker opens the way
only when the heart is ready to walk it.”
He’s not stalling.
He’s shaping.
🔥 2) God Usually Moves Right At the Last Possible Moment
This is the heart of Video 18.
He doesn’t move early.
He doesn’t move late.
He moves right on time —
but His “time” feels different from ours.
Think of scripture:
• Abraham waited decades
• Joseph Smith waited long seasons
• Nephi waited for Laban
• Alma waited for deliverance
• The brother of Jared waited for answers
• The Nephites waited in darkness for the voice of Christ
• Even Jesus waited 30 years before His ministry
God is never late —
but He’s hardly ever early.
That’s how faith is grown.
🚪 3) When You Feel Stuck, Jesus Is Working Behind the Curtain
This part sets people free:
Just because you don’t see movement
doesn’t mean there isn’t movement.
Heaven does some of its best work
in silence.
Jesus said:
“My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”
— John 5:17
Even when you see nothing —
God is building something.
You’re not stuck.
You’re being prepared.
The Nemenhah Records say:
“He fashions the answer in places unseen
before it appears in the daylight.”
He’s doing more right now
than you realize.
🙏 4) When You’re in the Waiting Season — Your Prayer Changes
Video 18 teaches a beautiful pattern
for how to talk to Jesus
when the miracle feels delayed.
Your prayer shifts from:
“Lord, WHEN?”
to
“Lord, WALK WITH ME while I wait.”
It shifts from:
“Fix this now.”
to
“Form me while You fix it.”
Waiting prayer is deeper prayer.
It sounds like:
“Jesus, strengthen my heart.”
“Lord, keep me believing.”
“Walk with me today.”
“Give me patience.”
“Help me trust You with timing.”
“Teach me to hear You even when I don’t see movement.”
These prayers transform the soul.
🕯 5) The Miracle Usually Begins With a Whisper, Not a Bang
This is one of the most comforting truths in the whole video:
Miracles rarely start big.
They start small:
• a small impression
• a little more peace
• a scripture that jumps off the page
• a change in your desires
• a softening of your heart
• a shift in your thinking
• a new idea
• a quiet reassurance
• a breath of peace
• a gentle prompting to wait a little longer
This is why the Savior said:
“The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.”
— Luke 17:20
Miracles begin quietly.
Then they build.
Then they bloom.
The Nemenhah say:
“Great works begin in the whisper.”
🌱 6) God Uses Waiting Seasons to Reveal What You Couldn’t See Before
When God delays a blessing,
it’s because He’s revealing something deeper:
✔ Your heart
✔ Your motives
✔ Your trust
✔ Your fear
✔ Your dependency
✔ Your spiritual maturity
✔ Your readiness
✔ Your willingness to walk with Him
✔ Your true desires
You see things in the waiting
that you would never see in the receiving.
The waiting is not a pause.
It’s a classroom.
🙌 7) Sometimes God Waits Because What He’s Giving You Is BIGGER Than What You Asked For
This is the message that shifts everything:
The longer the wait —
the bigger the blessing.
Abraham didn’t just want a son.
God wanted to give him a nation.
Joseph didn’t just want freedom.
God wanted to give him a throne.
The brother of Jared didn’t just want light.
God revealed His very body.
Your miracle might require more preparation
than you expected.
Jesus said:
“Behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth.”
— Isaiah 43:19
New things take time
to grow underground
before they appear above the soil.
🕊 8) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today
Here’s the entire message of Video 18
in one simple, healing line:
“You’re waiting for the miracle —
but I’m making you INTO the miracle.”
The blessing is coming.
The answer is coming.
The healing is coming.
The breakthrough is coming.
The door is coming.
The light is coming.
But YOU are also changing.
Growing.
Softening.
Deepening.
Strengthening.
Becoming more like Him.
The wait is part of the miracle.
