“The Secret to Walking With Jesus: One Step at a Time”
(Based on Video #7 — “Talk With Jesus Daily” Series)
Hello friends.
It’s just the old man again…
sitting with a cup of something warm,
a worn-out Bible,
a well-loved Book of Mormon,
and a heart that’s been through enough storms to know this one truth:
Walking with Jesus isn’t about speed.
It’s about direction.
Today’s message — Video 7 — is all about taking one small step with the Savior every day.
Not giant leaps.
Not spiritual marathons.
Not perfect performance.
Just one step.
Let’s talk about it.
🚶♂️ 1) Jesus Walks — He Doesn’t Rush
Look at every story in scripture:
• Jesus walked with the disciples to Emmaus.
• He walked by the Sea of Galilee calling His followers.
• He walked to the sick, the lonely, the forgotten.
• He never ran, never hurried, never pushed.
The Savior moves at a pace where you can walk beside Him.
The Nemenhah Records say:
“The Peacemaker walks with the meek, not before them at a distance.”
Isn’t that beautiful?
He doesn’t shout from a mountaintop.
He walks beside you…
and waits for you to take the next small step.
🕯️ 2) One Step of Obedience Opens the Next Step of Revelation
Here’s a truth that Video 7 really focuses on:
Heaven unfolds slowly — because that’s how hearts learn.
When Nephi said:
“I will go and do…”
— 1 Nephi 3:7
He didn’t know the whole plan.
He only knew the next step.
Same with the Brother of Jared.
Same with Alma.
Same with Peter stepping out of the boat.
Every miracle starts with one step.
Not a blueprint.
Not a five-year plan.
Not a complete map.
Just the next step.
🧭 3) Small Steps Keep You on the Narrow Path
You know the scripture:
“Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ.”
— 2 Nephi 31:20
Press forward…
not sprint.
Not collapse.
Not freeze.
Just press forward.
The path is narrow —
not because God is harsh,
but because God is close.
A narrow path means He’s right beside you.
💬 4) One Step of Honesty Opens the Ears of Heaven
One of the most beautiful truths in this video is simple:
Jesus responds to honesty, not perfection.
Tell Him:
“I’m tired.”
“I’m confused.”
“I don’t know what to do next.”
“Help me.”
“Walk with me.”
Heaven rushes toward that kind of prayer.
David cried:
“Teach me Thy way, O Lord,
and lead me in a plain path.”
— Psalm 27:11
A plain path…
a simple step…
a direction, not a destination.
That’s how He leads.
🌱 5) The Nemenhah Pattern: Small Daily Faithfulness
The Nemenhah Records teach something nearly identical:
“If you take one step toward the Peacemaker each day,
you will find Him walking toward you.”
It’s not about massive spiritual experiences.
It’s not about visions or manifestations.
Those things come — in the Lord’s timing —
but the real discipleship happens in:
• the small prayer,
• the small scripture verse,
• the small act of kindness,
• the small repentance,
• the small whisper you obey.
Day after day.
Step after step.
🔥 6) God Builds Zion One Step at a Time
This part hits home.
We want Zion today.
We want miracles.
We want clarity.
We want answers about the Church, about our families, about the last days.
But God builds everything big
with something small.
The Book of Mormon says:
“By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.”
— Alma 37:6
The Nemenhah say:
“A great Refuge is built one stone at a time.”
Your relationship with Jesus is the same way.
Brick by brick.
Step by step.
🕊️ 7) What Jesus Wants You to Know Today
Here is the whole message of Video 7 in one line:
“Don’t worry about the whole path — just take the next step with Me.”
That’s it.
Not the whole journey.
Not the whole revelation.
Not the whole mission.
Just today’s step.
He’s not asking you for perfection.
He’s asking you for movement.
Move toward Him…
just a little…
and He will meet you.
Every single time.
