🌾 First Zion, the Sealed Portion, and a People Being Prepared

🪶 A quiet reflection on Ether 4, Pure Revelations, and the Nemenhah Records

For many years now, I’ve been grateful for the work done by Pure Revelations.

His writings helped pull me out of something subtle but dangerous —
the idea that believing about Christ was the same as knowing Him.

Over and over, he pointed back to the Book of Mormon’s central demand:

Repent deeply.
Seek Christ directly.
Let Zion be measured by fruit, not by claims.

That path changed me.

🌱 What Pure Revelations Is Really Doing

It’s easy to read Pure Revelations and focus on ideas or interpretations.

But what he is actually doing is preparing servants.

Not servants of a church.
Not servants of a movement.

Servants of Jesus Christ.

Again and again, he teaches that:

  • Zion is not institutional

  • Zion does not arrive by announcement

  • Zion is a people, not a program

  • The gifts of the Spirit are the true measure

  • Condemnation remains where those gifts are absent

  • Christ reveals Himself only to the sanctified

So when he was recently asked how the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon would come forth — especially since many assume it must come through official channels — his answer was simple:

“It will be through First Zion.”

That answer deserves to be taken seriously.

📜 What Ether 4 Actually Says About the Sealed Portion

Ether 4 is one of the most direct and uncompromising passages in the Book of Mormon.

Moroni tells us plainly that he wrote “the very things which the brother of Jared saw” —
the greatest things ever revealed — a vision of all things.

Then he sealed them.

Not because of time.
Not because of authority.
But because of readiness.

Christ Himself then declares that these things will not be revealed until people:

  • repent

  • become clean before Him

  • exercise faith like the Brother of Jared

  • are sanctified in Christ

And here is the most important detail that is often missed:

The text does not say the sealed portion will simply be handed over.
It says Christ Himself will reveal the same things.

That means the sealed portion is not merely textual.
It is experiential.
It is entered into, not consumed.

🏡 What “First Zion” Really Means

In this light, First Zion is not a publishing event.

It is an environment.

It is a people who have become capable of receiving what Ether 4 promises.

Pure Revelations consistently describes First Zion as:

  • small, real communities

  • people who have repented deeply

  • people who seek Christ directly

  • people who actually produce the gifts of the Spirit

  • something that appears before the New Jerusalem

Zion doesn’t get organized first.

It emerges.

👣 A Parallel Witness I Didn’t Expect

Walking that same path — quietly, without agenda, over years — I was led to a body of records I did not go looking for:
the Nemenhah Records.

I didn’t accept them quickly.
I tested them the only way I know how:

Do they draw me closer to Jesus Christ?
Do they increase humility and repentance?
Do they align with the Book of Mormon’s warnings?

What surprised me wasn’t novelty.

It was recognition.

🌾 What the Nemenhah Records Actually Are (and Are Not)

Here is something important to say clearly.

The Nemenhah Records do not claim to be the sealed portion spoken of in Ether 4.

They do not claim to reveal “all things.”
They do not replace the encounter Christ promises.
They do not remove the need for sanctification.

What they do describe is how a people learn to live in a Zion way.

They focus on:

  • family-centered life

  • councils instead of hierarchy

  • consecration as daily practice

  • humility, patience, and restraint

  • warnings against rushing, pride, and control

  • training how to hear, see, and walk rightly

In other words, they function as a preparatory record.

They describe the kind of people Ether 4 requires before greater things are revealed.

🧭 Gathering Is Not Zion

Both Pure Revelations and the Nemenhah Records make the same careful distinction:

  • Many will be gathered for safety.

  • Few places are actually Zion.

There are refuges.
There are gathering places.
There are training communities.

Zion forms later — quietly — among people who have already learned how to live it.

🔐 So Where Does the Sealed Portion Fit?

Put simply:

  • Ether 4 tells us what must happen before sealed things are revealed

  • Pure Revelations points to First Zion as the condition

  • The Nemenhah Records describe how people learn to live in that condition

They do not compete.

They sit in order.

Preparation → Zion → Revelation by Christ Himself.

🕊️ A Quiet Closing

I don’t share this to persuade or convince.

I share it because the Book of Mormon promises that multiple witnesses will arise, and that Zion will come quietly, among those who seek Christ rather than manage Him.

If there is a First Zion, it won’t need defending.

And if the sealed things come forth, they will come the way Ether 4 says they will —
through sanctified people, by the voice of Christ Himself.

Until then, the work is simple:

Repent.
Love.
Live consecration.
Learn to hear Him.

I leave the rest to the Spirit.
