๐ŸŒฟ Walking With Jesus When You Feel Small

(Companion Blog for Video 37)

๐Ÿ“บ Companion Video 37 — Talk With Jesus Daily
You can watch the video here:

If you haven’t watched the video yet, I suggest starting there.
This blog is for seasons when you feel insignificant, overlooked, or unsure that what you offer really matters.

And as always, let me say this gently at the start:
If you have questions, or if this touches a tender place in you, please feel free to ask. I don’t have all the answers — but I care, and I’ll do my best to respond as soon as I can.

You don’t have to carry this alone.

There are times in the walk with Jesus
when you feel small.

Not sinful.
Not rebellious.
Just… small.

Your efforts seem quiet.
Your voice feels thin.
Your contribution feels unnoticed.

And in a world that celebrates big things,
smallness can feel discouraging.

๐ŸŒฑ Small Does Not Mean Unimportant

Scripture consistently turns the world’s measure upside down.

Jesus said:

“He that is least among you all, the same shall be great.”
(Luke 9:48)

Greatness in the kingdom of God
is not measured by visibility or influence.

It is measured by faithfulness.

Small steps, offered honestly,
carry eternal weight.

๐Ÿ“– Jesus Chose the Small on Purpose

Jesus did not build His work around powerful people.

He chose fishermen.
He chose the overlooked.
He chose those who did not feel impressive.

And He blessed small offerings:

“And Jesus said, Make the men sit down… and he distributed to the disciples.”
(John 6:10–11)

A few loaves.
A few fish.

Small, placed in His hands,
became enough.

๐ŸŒฟ The Book of Mormon: God Works Through the Humble

The Book of Mormon teaches this truth clearly.

“By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.”
(Alma 37:6)

God does not wait for you to become larger, louder, or more confident.

He works with what you offer —
right now.

If your faith feels quiet but sincere,
that is more than enough.

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Nemenhah Records: The Power of the Quiet Walker

The Nemenhah teachings speak with deep respect
for those who walk quietly.

The elders teach that the Peacemaker often works
through those who do not seek attention.

The Way is not carried forward
by those who appear strong,
but by those who remain humble and steady.

The Haymehnay (Holy Spirit) often moves most clearly
in lives that feel unremarkable to the world.

Smallness is not a weakness in the Way.
It is often the doorway.

๐ŸŒฑ When You Feel Like You Don’t Have Much to Offer

If you find yourself thinking:

• “I don’t have much to give”
• “Others seem stronger than me”
• “What difference does my walk make?”

Pause gently.

Jesus noticed the widow’s mite
when others overlooked it.

“This poor widow hath cast in more than they all.”
(Luke 21:3)

God sees what the world misses.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Walking Faithfully Without Needing to Be Seen

One of the quiet freedoms of walking with Jesus
is learning that you don’t need to be significant
to be faithful.

You don’t need a platform.
You don’t need recognition.
You don’t need to prove anything.

If you’re choosing kindness…
choosing honesty…
choosing to stay close…

You are walking well.

And if you ever need to talk through that feeling of smallness,
or ask something you’ve been carrying quietly,
please feel free to ask. I’ll listen, and I’ll try to help as best I can.

Sometimes being heard
helps us remember our worth.

๐ŸŒฟ A Gentle Word

If you feel small right now,
don’t rush to outgrow it.

Let Jesus meet you there.

He is very comfortable
working through what the world calls small.
