If you haven’t watched the video yet, I suggest starting there.
This blog is for seasons when you find yourself worn down by words — when explaining your heart feels harder than staying quiet.
And as always, let me say this gently at the start:
If you have questions, or if something here connects with something you’re carrying quietly, please feel free to ask. I don’t have all the answers, but I care, and I’ll do my best to respond as soon as I can.
You don’t have to walk this alone.
There comes a point in the walk with Jesus
when you realize you’re tired of explaining yourself.
Not because you’re hiding.
Not because you’re ashamed.
But because words no longer seem to help.
You explain once.
Then again.
Then again.
And eventually, the soul says,
I just want to walk quietly now.
π± You Are Not Required to Translate Your Heart Forever
Many sincere people feel guilty
when they stop explaining.
They worry it looks like withdrawal.
Or pride.
Or avoidance.
But scripture does not place that burden on you.
“In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.”
(Isaiah 30:15)
Quietness is not failure.
It is often strength finding a more honest posture.
π Jesus Did Not Always Clarify Himself
There were moments when Jesus explained —
and moments when He did not.
Sometimes He answered questions.
Sometimes He responded with silence.
Sometimes He simply walked on.
“Neither answered he him to any word.”
(Matthew 27:14)
Jesus did not owe explanations to everyone.
He trusted truth to reveal itself
through time, fruit, and love.
πΏ The Book of Mormon: Letting Works Speak
The Book of Mormon honors quiet faith.
It teaches that actions reveal truth
more clearly than arguments ever could.
“By their works ye shall know them.”
(Moroni 7:5)
If your life is becoming gentler…
more patient…
more loving…
That speaks —
even if words fall short.
π₯ The Nemenhah Records: Walking Without Needing to Persuade
The Nemenhah teachings speak directly to this stage.
The elders teach that once a person begins to truly walk the Way,
they no longer feel the need to persuade others.
Truth lived quietly
carries its own authority.
The Peacemaker does not require constant explanation.
Those who walk with Him learn to trust
that love and steadiness speak in time.
The Haymehnay (Holy Spirit) works through presence,
not pressure.
π± When Silence Feels Kinder Than Words
If you’re in a place where:
• explaining feels draining
• conversations circle without fruit
• silence feels more honest
You are not failing your calling.
You may be honoring it.
Ecclesiastes reminds us:
“To every thing there is a season… a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1,7)
Silence can be obedience
just as much as speech.
π️ Staying Open Without Over-Explaining
One of the quiet balances in walking with Jesus
is learning to remain open
without exhausting yourself.
You don’t have to close your heart.
You don’t have to harden.
You can simply rest.
And if a sincere question comes —
a real opening —
you can answer gently.
And if you ever need to ask something yourself,
or talk through what you’re carrying,
please feel free to ask. I’ll listen, and I’ll try to help where I can.
Sometimes walking together
matters more than explaining perfectly.
πΏ A Gentle Word
If you’re tired of explaining yourself,
give yourself permission to stop.
Let your walk speak.
Let love remain visible.
Let Jesus carry what words no longer can.
You don’t owe clarity to everyone.
You owe faithfulness to Him.
