๐ชถ Medicine Wheel — What It Actually Is
๐ชถ Medicine Wheel — What It Actually Is
Let me say this as plainly as I can.
The Medicine Wheel is not a new religion.
It is not a rejection of the temple.
It is not a dismissal of commandments.
It is not experience for the sake of experience.
It is a pattern.
A pattern that helps a person become capable of standing in the presence of Christ consciously.
That’s really it.
Everything we’ve walked through—the center, agency, knowledge, wisdom, balance, consecration, union—is not just philosophy.
It is growth.
It is capacity forming over time.
๐ชถ A Simple Orientation
The Wheel doesn’t add something new.
It helps bring attention back to something already present:
Learning to listen.
Learning to trust.
Learning to align.
๐ฟ The Center — Worth Before Performance
You begin already loved.
Already known.
Already seen.
Not on trial.
Not trying to earn breath.
The center invites a different way to understand passages like Abraham 3:25.
“We will prove them…”
Instead of imagining God as testing from a distance…
it can be seen as life revealing what we choose when we are given agency.
The Wheel begins by restoring that sense of groundedness.
๐️ Agency — Choosing, Not Just Complying
You begin to move beyond borrowed belief.
Not abandoning what you’ve been taught—
but learning to confirm it.
You start asking:
“Do I understand this?”
“Have I felt this confirmed?”
Agency deepens.
It becomes less about pressure…
and more about participation.
๐ Knowledge — Learning Without Fear
You study.
You explore.
You examine.
You allow questions without assuming they are threats.
Truth is gathered from many places—
scripture, history, experience.
But knowledge alone can feel sharp.
It needs time to mature.
๐พ Wisdom — Letting Knowledge Soften
Wisdom changes how knowledge is used.
You become less interested in winning.
Less interested in correcting everyone.
More willing to listen.
More able to move gently.
Wisdom helps prevent turning new understanding into a new rigid system.
⚖️ Balance — Living Steadily
You begin to sense timing.
You recognize that not every insight needs to be shared immediately.
You move with more steadiness.
Less reaction.
More awareness.
๐ฅ Consecration — Relationship Lived Out
Consecration becomes less about outward transfer…
and more about inward offering.
A simple question begins to guide you:
“Lord, what would You have me do with what I’ve been given?”
Sometimes that leads to giving.
Sometimes to restraint.
Sometimes to quiet service.
But it always brings you back to listening.
๐ Union — Recognizing His Voice
This is where everything leads.
Not performance.
Not comparison.
Not proving.
Union.
A growing ability to recognize His voice.
2 Nephi 32 begins to feel personal again:
“Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost…”
You begin to notice.
You begin to respond.
That is where real change happens.
๐️ Temple and Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn
The temple presents the journey symbolically.
The Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn describes a way of growing into that journey.
The Wheel helps make sense of the process.
They are not in competition.
They can be seen as different expressions of a shared pattern:
Creation
Fall
Learning
Covenant
Return
The quiet question becomes:
Am I growing into the ability to live this?
๐ฟ So What Is It, Really?
It can feel like:
A return to inward awareness
A gentle healing of old patterns
A relearning of how to hear God personally
Not passive.
Not aggressive.
But steady.
A way of becoming more able to walk with Christ consciously.
๐️ Where This Leaves You
If you attend the temple—attend with awareness.
If you don’t—continue the inward work.
If you study additional records—do so with humility.
If you question things—do it with care.
The Wheel doesn’t make a person louder.
It often makes them quieter.
More grounded.
Less reactive.
More at peace.
๐ The Real End Goal
You were not sent here to perform perfectly.
You were sent here to grow.
To learn alignment.
To learn how to listen.
The scriptures say the dust of the earth obeys Him.
We are learning to do the same—
not through pressure…
but through awareness.
And as that ability grows…
everything begins to change.
