๐ŸŒฟ 63 — When Awakening Quietly Turns Into Pride

๐Ÿชถ A gentle warning for those who are seeing more clearly

Awakening is beautiful.

When something shifts inside you — when scripture opens, when history becomes clearer, when questions you once ignored suddenly matter — it can feel like a new beginning.

And often, it is.

But there’s a quiet danger that follows awakening.
Not immediately.
Not loudly.

Subtly.

Awakening can slowly turn into pride.

Not the obvious kind.

The quiet kind.

The kind that whispers:

“I see what others don’t.”
“I understand what they’re missing.”
“I’ve moved beyond that.”

It doesn’t feel arrogant.

It feels justified.

And that’s why it’s dangerous.

๐ŸŒพ When Seeing More Makes Us Sharper Instead of Softer

Awakening was never meant to harden us.

It was meant to humble us.

If seeing more clearly makes us:

more impatient
more cutting
more certain
more intense
less willing to listen

then something has shifted.

Truth should soften the heart.

If it sharpens it, we’ve started climbing again.

๐Ÿง— Climbing Returns in Disguise

After surrender — after falling into His hands — it’s possible to begin climbing again without realizing it.

But now we’re climbing a different ladder.

The ladder of:

being right
having answers
correcting others
exposing what’s broken

We may even convince ourselves we’re defending truth.

But truth never needs defense at the expense of love.

When awakening becomes about winning instead of kneeling, pride has quietly entered.

๐ŸŒฟ The Test of Healthy Awakening

There’s a simple way to tell whether awakening is healthy.

Ask yourself:

Am I more gentle than I used to be?
Am I more patient with people who don’t see what I see?
Am I more aware of how little I actually know?
Am I quicker to repent than to correct?

If awakening is working, you will become softer — not louder.

More compassionate — not more combative.

More willing to admit you could still be wrong.

That awareness is protection.

๐Ÿ’ง Knowledge Without Repentance Hardens

One of the most dangerous combinations in spiritual life is knowledge without humility.

Truth without love wounds.

Insight without surrender inflates.

And awakening without ongoing repentance creates a new kind of blindness.

We leave one form of illusion only to enter another.

The Lord does not reveal truth so we can stand above others.

He reveals truth so we can kneel lower.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Stay Soft

If you have awakened — stay soft.

Stay teachable.

Stay careful with people’s hearts.

Stay aware that you are still learning.

The clearest sign that awakening is healthy is not intensity.

It is tenderness.

If you are becoming more peaceful, more patient, more willing to love people who disagree with you — your awakening is bearing fruit.

If not…

it may be time to fall again.

Not into certainty.

Into His hands.

๐Ÿค
Awakening is a gift.

But only humility keeps it safe.
