๐Ÿชถ LETTER SIX

Prepare Without Fear

Kids,

You will live through uncertain times.

Every generation does.

Economies shift.

Governments change.

Technology moves faster than wisdom.

Headlines shout.

People predict collapse.

And sometimes they’re right about the instability.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

Preparation is wise.

Fear is not.

There was a season when I thought about big questions.

What if systems fail?

What if money changes?

What if things unravel?

Those aren’t foolish questions.

It’s good to think ahead.

It’s good to be responsible.

It’s good to provide.

But somewhere along the way I realized something deeper.

Gold is a tool.

Food storage is a tool.

Savings are tools.

Community is protection.

But none of those are ultimate security.

Christ is.

You can store supplies and still be afraid.

You can own assets and still be anxious.

You can prepare materially and still feel unstable inside.

Real stability doesn’t come from what you stockpile.

It comes from who you trust.

“God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

A sound mind is steady.

Not panicked.

Not frantic.

Steady.

Be wise.

Be responsible.

Live within your means.

Care for your family.

But don’t let fear run your life.

Fear makes poor decisions.

Fear isolates.

Fear shrinks your world.

Trust expands it.

I’ve come to see that the strongest kind of preparation is relational.

Strong marriages.

Strong friendships.

Honest communication.

Shared faith.

Those things outlast financial systems.

If hard days ever come, you won’t survive because of cleverness.

You’ll endure because of unity.

And here’s the quiet truth:

If you are walking close to Christ,

you will be guided in practical things too.

He cares about daily bread.

He cares about wisdom.

He cares about timing.

But He does not operate in panic.

Stay close to Him, and your decisions will carry peace.

Prepare without fear.

Act without frenzy.

Trust without hesitation.

That’s strength.

Love,

Dad
