77 πŸͺΆ LETTER SEVEN VIDEO ---- When I’m Gone, Remember This

πŸͺΆ LETTER SEVEN

When I’m Gone, Remember This

Kids,

If you’re reading this years from now…

maybe I’m older.

Maybe I’m gone.

Maybe you’re walking through something I can’t help you with anymore.

So let me say this clearly while I can.

I was never the point.

Not my opinions.

Not my journey.

Not my discoveries.

Not even my convictions.

Christ was always the point.

I made mistakes.

I got things wrong.

I was loud about some things I later softened on.

I was sure about some things I later understood differently.

That’s part of being human.

But the one thing that stayed steady underneath it all was this:

When I turned toward Jesus,

peace followed.

Not always answers.

Not always clarity.

But peace.

And peace is enough.

You don’t owe me agreement.

You don’t owe me alignment with every conclusion I reached.

You don’t owe me defense.

You don’t owe me continuation of anything I built.

You only owe your life to the Lord who gave it to you.

Follow Him.

Even if that path looks different than mine.

Especially if it does.

If you ever wonder what I would say about something…

Pause.

Be still.

Ask Him.

If you feel humility,

if you feel clarity,

if you feel the nudge toward kindness,

that’s probably the right direction.

I trust Him more than I trust my own legacy.

I don’t measure my life by how many people listened to me.

Or how many agreed.

Or how many read something I wrote.

I measure it by whether I kept turning back to Him.

And whether I loved you well.

That’s it.

If you stay close to Christ,

you will not drift far.

If you repent quickly,

you will not stay heavy.

If you build peace in your homes,

you will not lack stability.

If you surrender often,

you will not lose your way.

That’s all I’ve learned.

Simple.

Not complicated.

Not dramatic.

Just steady.

And if you ever think of me…

Don’t picture me arguing.

Don’t picture me defending.

Picture me walking quietly,

listening,

trusting,

and smiling at how patient the Lord has been with me.

He will be patient with you too.

Love you more than you know,

Dad
