πŸ•Š️ O My Father

🎡 Listen First (recommended)

Before you read, take a few minutes and listen to
O My Father

Sit quietly if you can…

and just let the words settle.

πŸ•Š️ O My Father

What if heaven is more complete than we’ve realized?

Are there songs that simply sound good…
and others that seem to open something deeper inside us?

Is this one of those?

When you hear the line:

“In the heavens are parents single?”

Does something in you pause?

Does it feel like more than just a lyric?

🌿 If Heaven Is Whole…

If heaven is truly complete…

would it be missing something as sacred as a mother?

If we speak so often of a Father…

does it quietly invite us to consider… a Mother?

πŸͺΆ Why So Quiet?

If that were true…

why isn’t it spoken of more?

Is it possible…

that some things are not absent—

just sacred?

When something is deeply holy…

is it always explained?

Or is it sometimes simply… felt?

πŸŒ„ A Question About the Savior

When you think about the Savior in Gethsemane…

have you ever wondered:

Was He alone?

We’re taught that He bore the burden alone.

And in the deepest sense…
isn’t that true?

But could there be more to the moment…

without taking anything away from His suffering?

Are there kinds of pain…

that only compassion can sit with?

Kinds of sorrow…

that only tenderness can draw near to?

And in our own lives…

when we suffer deeply…

is there sometimes a presence…

that doesn’t carry the burden—

but stays close?

So could it be…

even in that sacred place—

that while the suffering was His alone…

there was also a presence of love nearby?

πŸͺΆ A Thought About Creation

If Christ is the Creator…

the one who brings order, redemption, and life—

could there also be one who nurtures that life?

One who brings warmth…
beauty…
compassion?

Could it be that heaven is not only structured…

but also deeply nurturing?

And is it unreasonable to wonder…

whether the Savior’s own life reflected that same pattern?

🌿 A Witness That Feels Familiar

There are records that speak more openly about this pattern.

In the Nemenhah records,
mothers are not secondary.

They are central.

They are honored as life-givers.
As nurturers.
As those who bring spirit into what would otherwise remain unfinished.

And for me…

those teachings have felt familiar.

Not foreign.

Almost like something remembered…

rather than something newly introduced.

In a quiet way,
they feel like a companion witness—

a kind of spiritual echo—

to what the Book of Mormon has already helped me feel about Christ.

πŸ•Š️ A Gentle Question

Could it be…

that in ways we don’t fully understand—

the Savior and a sacred companion…

experienced things together?

Not sharing the burden of sin…

but present in love?

Could it be…

that where He brings redemption…

there is also one who brings comfort?

Could it be…

that what we glimpse in this life—

in the strength of fathers
and the nurturing of mothers—

is only a reflection of something greater?

🌿 Where Does Jesus Stand for Us?

When we come close to Jesus…

not just believe in Him, but walk with Him…

don’t our hearts begin to change?

Doesn’t something new begin to grow inside us?

Doesn’t the Book of Mormon teach that through Him…

we are spiritually reborn?

In that sense…

does He not become a Father to us?

And wherever there is that kind of life…

is there not also love that nurtures it?

πŸ•Š️ The Center

When you think about approaching God…

is it as something distant…

or something whole?

In the Medicine Wheel…

is the center empty—

or full?

A place of relationship?

Of completeness?

🌿 Why Does This Matter?

Does this take anything away from Christ?

Or does it deepen what we feel about Him?

Does it make heaven feel smaller…

or more alive?

πŸ•Š️ If I Could Leave You With Questions

What if heaven is more complete than we’ve been taught?

What if holiness is not just power…

but also tenderness?

What if the greatest truths…

are not always declared—

but quietly discovered?
