Something changed in me…
but not the way I expected.
For most of my life, I thought hearing the Savior was something big.
You know…
a voice,
a moment,
something unmistakable.
Something you could point to and say:
“That was Him.”
And because I didn’t have that…
I kind of assumed I wasn’t hearing Him.
But looking back now…
I can see I was wrong.
🌙 A Quiet Night I Didn’t Understand
I remember waking up one night.
No reason.
Just wide awake.
And there was this feeling…
not fear…
just a quiet nudge.
And a name came into my mind.
Someone I hadn’t thought about in a long time.
I almost rolled over and went back to sleep.
But it stayed.
So I said something simple:
“Alright, Lord…
if that’s you, I’ll reach out in the morning.”
Next day, I did.
Nothing fancy.
Just a simple message.
And come to find out…
that person was going through something right then.
Now I didn’t fix anything.
But I showed up.
And I remember sitting there thinking:
“How did I know to do that?”
Truth is…
I didn’t.
🪶 That was Him.
🚗 Another One I Almost Missed
Another time, I was just driving.
Nothing spiritual going on.
Just normal life.
And I had this strong impression:
“Slow down.”
Didn’t make sense.
Road was clear.
Everything felt fine.
But it was strong enough that I listened.
And just a few seconds later…
traffic ahead suddenly stopped.
If I hadn’t slowed down…
I would’ve been right in the middle of it.
Again…
no voice.
No big moment.
Just a quiet nudge.

I used to think that meant something big and obvious.
Now I see it different.
Maybe His voice…
is those quiet moments we almost ignore.
💡 What I Was Missing
Here’s what started to hit me:
The Savior had been speaking to me…
for a long time.
Even when I didn’t recognize it.
Even when I brushed it off.
Even when I thought it was just my own thoughts.
He was still there.
Still guiding.
Still helping.
Still answering.
I just didn’t have ears to hear yet.
📖 “By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.” — Moroni 10:5
That doesn’t say you’ll hear a voice.
It says…
you’ll know.
And that knowing…
is usually quiet.
🧭 It Got Simpler, Not Bigger
Once I started seeing that…
everything changed.
Not because life got easier.
But because I realized…
I wasn’t alone in it anymore.
And honestly…
it didn’t make me louder.
It made me quieter.
Less interested in figuring everything out.
More interested in just…
paying attention.
🌿 He Was Already There
I used to think I had to go find Him.
Now I think…
He was already there.
In the small things.
In the quiet thoughts.
In the moments I almost passed by.

Not in the wind.
Not in the earthquake.
Not in the fire.
But in something quiet enough…
you can miss it if you’re not listening.
✨ If This Is Happening to You
If you’ve ever thought:
“Why don’t I hear Him?”
Maybe the better question is:
“What if I already am?”
What if that thought to reach out…
that feeling to pause…
that quiet sense to do something good…
What if that’s Him?
Because that’s what I started to realize.

He wasn’t far.
He wasn’t hiding.
He was closer than I thought.
Not in something dramatic.
But in everyday life.
And once I started noticing that…
I stopped chasing big moments.
And started seeing Him…
right where I already was.
