ðŸŠķ The Way Is a Wheel, Not a Ladder

Image
ðŸŠķ The Way Is a Wheel, Not a Ladder These last few posts began with a simple question. Why a prayer circle? And somehow that little question opened into something much larger. Lehi’s dream. King Benjamin. Captain Moroni. Mormon. Mohrhohnahyah. The Nemenhah. And one thought kept returning: Maybe the Way is not a ladder. Maybe it is a wheel. I grew up often imagining spiritual life as a ladder. Climb higher. Do better. Reach higher levels. Move upward. And there is truth in growth. But over time I’ve wondered— is that the deepest picture? I’m not sure. Because real discipleship has not felt much like climbing to me. It has felt more like returning. Again and again. To Christ. To Center. A ladder suggests: higher… higher… higher. But the Way often feels more like: wander… return. Forget… return. Fall… return. Pray… return. That feels much more like life. And much more like grace. And maybe that is why the image of a wheel has touched me. A center. Spokes leading inward. Movement aro...

ðŸŠķ The Iron Rod May Be a Spoke

Image
ðŸŠķ The Iron Rod May Be a Spoke A strange thought came to me after writing about sacred circles. It wouldn’t leave me alone. What if Lehi’s dream has been teaching this same pattern all along? And then a thought came so simple it almost made me laugh: What if the iron rod is a spoke… and Christ is the Hub? Now stay with me. I’m not trying to turn Lehi into a diagram. I’m just following a pattern. And sometimes patterns teach. We usually read Lehi’s dream as: Hold to the rod. Avoid the mist. Get to the tree. And that’s true. But what if there’s more? What if the whole dream is about learning how to return to Center? Because that’s what struck me. Everything in the dream moves toward one place. The Tree. And scholars have actually noted the tree is the symbolic center of the whole vision.   Center. That word started opening things for me. Lehi begins in darkness. A dark and dreary waste. How many of us begin there? Confused. Searching. Wounded. Praying for mercy. That sounds a ...

ðŸŠķ Did the Prayer Circle Teach Something We Forgot?

Image
ðŸŠķ Did the Prayer Circle Teach Something We Forgot? A thought came to me the other day in a way I didn’t expect. It started with the temple prayer circle. I found myself wondering— Why a circle? Why has a circle shown up in sacred places? Why not rows? Why not lines? Why a circle? And then another thought came: What if the circle itself is trying to teach something? Not a ritual. A truth. The more I thought about it… the more I started seeing circles all over the place. The prayer circle. The medicine wheel. King Benjamin gathering the people round about the temple. Even—believe it or not— Camelot. King Arthur’s Round Table. Now I know that sounds like a long way from scripture. But maybe not. Because what did the Round Table symbolize? No head seat. No one above another. Equality. Fellowship. A people gathered in shared covenant.   That actually preaches. And I started wondering— what if these are all faint echoes of the same old pattern? God in the center. People gathered ...

The Two Religions --- One Preserves the Form. The Other Seeks the Living Christ.

Image
The Two Religions One Preserves the Form. The Other Seeks the Living Christ. There is a pattern that has repeated throughout scripture. It happened to Israel. It happened among the Nephites. It happened after the early Christian Church. And if we're honest... it can happen to any of us. The danger was never simply false religion. The greater danger was true religion that slowly became centered on itself instead of on God. ðŸŒŋ God Has Always Desired a Relationship When Adam and Eve left the garden, God didn't establish a bureaucracy. He sought His children. Throughout scripture, His invitation has always been personal. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27) Not... "My sheep only know about Me." They hear Him. ⛰️ Sinai: The Great Turning Point When Israel came to Mount Sinai, the Lord invited the whole nation to come near. Instead, they said to Moses, "You speak to God for us." From...

🏛️ THE RESTORATION NEVER ENDED

Image
🏛️ THE RESTORATION NEVER ENDED Perhaps Joseph Smith Was Pointing Us Somewhere Even Greater "Follow the Voice... not merely the messenger." Listen to the NEW Song of Zion:    He Was Always Calling 🌄 A THOUGHT THAT WOULDN'T LEAVE ME Recently I listened to a presentation asking a simple but profound question: Has LDS doctrine changed since Joseph Smith? The presentation shared numerous historical examples that suggest some teachings and practices evolved over time. But as I listened, something much bigger settled into my heart. The real question isn't... "What changed?" The real question is... "What was Joseph trying to restore in the first place?" 📖 JOSEPH'S GREATEST INVITATION As I study Joseph Smith's teachings, I don't see a man trying to create followers of himself. I see a prophet constantly pointing people to Jesus Christ. Not just to believe in Him. Not just to worship Him. But to know Him. Joseph taught ab...

Help Me Walk With You

Image
Help Me Walk With You A simple daily prayer—with a child’s humble heart Listen the the NEW Song:   Help Me Walk With YOU I listened to this song sung in a child’s voice, and it brought tears to my eyes. The words were simple: Help me hear You, help me follow, Help me bless someone today. That is what I have been trying to express. I want to hear the Savior. I want to follow Him. I want the blessings He gives me to become blessings in someone else’s life. Hearing a child sing that prayer reminded me of something Jesus taught: “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” —Matthew 18:3 In the next verse, He speaks of humbling ourselves as a little child. Whatever our age, we can come to Him willing to learn. A heart that says, “Teach me” A child can remind us how to ask for help. We can bring our questions, our mistakes, our hopes, and our needs to the Lord. We can admit that we have more to learn. The Book of Morm...

✨ Come Unto Jesus Christ ---- The Invitation That Has Never Changed

Image
✨ Come Unto Jesus Christ The Invitation That Has Never Changed Listen to the NEW Narration and Song on YouTube  :    Seek Him First There are many invitations in life. Some invite us to success. Some invite us to comfort. Some invite us to knowledge. Others invite us to follow a particular leader, philosophy, or cause. But above them all stands one invitation that has never changed. It comes from the Savior Himself. "Come unto me." For nearly two thousand years, those words have crossed every nation, every language, and every generation. They are as powerful today as the day they were first spoken. Christ did not invite us to simply admire Him. He invited us to walk with Him. The Greatest Journey Many people spend their lives searching. Searching for happiness. Searching for purpose. Searching for peace. Searching for truth. The remarkable thing is that Jesus never said we would find those things by chasing them. He taught that when we seek Him , everything else begins to...

🕊️ Let Your Spirit Listen

Image
🕊️ Let Your Spirit Listen Men and Women out there… Slow down. I’ve said that in a lot of my videos. Slow down. Let your body listen. Let your spirit listen to what the Lord is trying to tell you. I used to think that just meant, “Don’t react too fast.” Don’t fire off the text. Don’t post the comment. Don’t say something you’ll have to walk back. But I’m realizing it goes deeper than that. 🌊 Before You Decide What It Means Most of us don’t react to what happened. We react to what we   think   happened. Someone says something in church. Someone quotes the prophet. Someone phrases something awkwardly. And before the closing prayer… We’ve already decided what it meant. We’ve already built the story. But what if the first thought isn’t wrong… Just incomplete? What if walking with the Lord means pausing before interpretation ? Not just before response. ðŸ”Ĩ Formation Comes After Attention Even in creation language, the Lord doesn’t rush chaos. He looks. He considers. He forms...

ðŸŠķ The Pipe Prayer Song — Learning to Walk the Way

Image
Listen to the NEW Narration and Song about this Prayer :    Moroni's Walk the Way Same Narration and Song a bit softer :         Moroni's Pipe Prayer Song ðŸŠķ The Pipe Prayer Song — Learning to Walk the Way Reflections on a sacred teaching shared by Cloudpiler Many of you may not know who   Cloudpiler   is. He is one of the original translators of the   Ayahtkuhyaht Nemenhah —often called the Nemenhah Records—a work translated by a small group around 2004–2005 that I’ve studied for years. Whatever someone thinks of the record itself… there are moments in it that carry real beauty. This was one of those for me. Cloudpiler recently shared something called   The Pipe Prayer Song of Mohrhohnayah —an ancient prayer pattern from the record tied to covenant, prayer, gratitude, and walking what they call   the Way. And as I sat with it… I didn’t hear ritual. I heard remembrance. I heard the soul gathering itself before God. And h...
