๐Ÿชถ WHAT THE NEMENHAH RECORDS TAUGHT ME

A Follow-Up — Seeing Zion, Seeing Christ, Seeing Differently

๐ŸŒ… A Quiet Follow-Up

After writing my last post…

I realized something.

I had shared where my walk led me
but I didn’t share what helped me see it more clearly.

This isn’t a correction.

It’s just… the next step.

๐Ÿชถ HOW I CAME ACROSS THESE RECORDS

Somewhere along the way…

I came across something I didn’t expect.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The Nemenhah Records.

I didn’t accept them right away.

Not even close.

I’ve learned to test everything the same way:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Does it bring me closer to Christ?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Does it invite me to actually know Him?

That’s the test.

Not popularity.
Not tradition.

๐Ÿ‘‰ What does it produce?

๐Ÿงญ WHAT SURPRISED ME

What surprised me wasn’t just the content…

It was the familiarity.

It felt like something I had already read…

๐Ÿ‘‰ but expanded.

Not replacing the Book of Mormon…

๐Ÿ‘‰ but opening it up.

Like turning a light on in a room I already knew.

๐Ÿ“– THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM

One of the first things that hit me…

was this simple truth:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Things are not always how they first appear.

We see that in scripture all the time.

And one example that stood out to me in these records:

Corianton.

Isabel.

A story that—at first glance—looks like failure.

But later…

you start seeing something different.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Redemption.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Change.
๐Ÿ‘‰ A bigger story than we first understood.

And even connections forward…

into people like Samuel the Lamanite.

Now whether someone accepts that specific connection or not…

that’s not the point.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The point is this:

God’s story is bigger than our first interpretation.

Always.

๐Ÿชถ MORONI DIDN’T JUST DISAPPEAR

Another thing that opened my eyes…

was Moroni.

In the Book of Mormon, we see the end:

  • War
  • Destruction
  • Loneliness

And then…

๐Ÿ‘‰ silence.

But these records present something that stirred me:

๐Ÿ‘‰ What if the story didn’t end there?

What if:

  • Records were preserved
  • Teachings continued quietly
  • The Lord still had a people… even after collapse

And then you think about:

  • The Three Nephites
  • Hidden records
  • Promises of things yet to come

๐Ÿ‘‰ Suddenly…

the Book of Mormon doesn’t feel like an ending.

It feels like a bridge.

๐Ÿงฑ A BLUEPRINT FOR ZION

This is where things really hit me.

The Nemenhah Records don’t just talk about belief…

๐Ÿ‘‰ they show how people lived.

And it’s different than what most of us picture.

Not complicated.

Not corporate.

Not controlled.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Simple.

Real.

Family-centered.

Spirit-led.

Things like:

  • Councils guided by mothers
  • Communities kept small and connected
  • Stewardship over everything—land, home, people
  • Sacred things taught openly, not hidden behind layers

And at the center of it all:

๐Ÿ‘‰ The Peacemaker (Christ)

Not as a distant figure…

๐Ÿ‘‰ but as someone people were actually trying to know.

⚖️ WHAT IT HELPED ME SEE

These records didn’t pull me away from Christ.

They did the opposite.

๐Ÿ‘‰ They simplified everything.

They helped me see:

  • How easily structure can replace spirit
  • How authority can replace relationship
  • How systems can grow… while connection shrinks

And again…

this isn’t about attacking anything.

It’s about seeing clearly.

๐Ÿชถ THE SAME INVITATION

When I compare:

  • The Book of Mormon
  • The Bible
  • The Nemenhah Records

The message is the same.

Over and over.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Come to Him.

Not:

  • Come to a system
  • Come to a hierarchy
  • Come to a program

๐Ÿ‘‰ Come to Christ.

๐Ÿ”ฅ WHAT CHANGED IN ME

I didn’t walk away from anything.

I just…

๐Ÿ‘‰ walked further.

I stopped trying to organize everything perfectly.

I stopped trying to figure out who was “right.”

And I started focusing on one thing:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Am I actually walking with Him?

And these records helped me see that more clearly.

๐Ÿชถ A GENTLE INVITATION

I’m not asking anyone to accept these records.

Not at all.

I’m just sharing:

๐Ÿ‘‰ They helped me.

They helped me:

  • See scripture differently
  • See Christ more clearly
  • See what Zion might actually look like

And most of all…

๐Ÿ‘‰ they helped me slow down and listen.

✨ FINAL THOUGHT

There are more things out there than we realize.

More records.
More stories.
More witnesses.

But in the end…

there’s still only one test.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Do they bring you to Christ?

If they do…

pay attention.

If they don’t…

set them aside.

๐Ÿ•Š️

For me…

these did.
