Becoming Like Jesus Christ
"Come and see."
One of the greatest questions I have ever asked is this:
How do we become like Jesus Christ?
The more I read, study, pray over, and quietly digest the Nemenhah Sacred Records, the more convinced I become that they continually lead me to the Savior. They do not draw my attention away from Him—they draw me deeper into His life, His sacrifice, His grace, and His invitation to become like Him.
That surprised me.
I expected to find interesting history.
Instead, I found a blueprint.
Not merely a blueprint for building Zion...
A blueprint for becoming a Zion people.
📜 The Great Council
One of the most profound chapters in the Nemenhah Sacred Records is found in The Book of the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn, Chapter One.
Before the creation of this world, the Heavenly Parents gather Their children in council.
Haymehnay presents a remarkable possibility.
Through one Chosen One, the experiences of countless souls could be gathered together, making it possible for many to attain exaltation in far fewer mortal lives than under the previous covenant.
"But, the Chosen One must allow this transference to take place before that last death... it may be possible for many of Your children to attain to Your stature in as few as one lifetime."

But then comes the principle that changes everything.
"One so chosen must make the sacrifice freely."
— Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn 1:143
Nothing in God's kingdom is forced.
Love is not forced.
Faith is not forced.
The covenant is not forced.
Everything begins with agency.
🌿 The Blueprint Begins With Choice
The Father then declares:
"We will present this New and Everlasting Covenant to all of Our children and, if they choose this plan, We will appoint one from among them to be their Savior and Redeemer."
— Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn 1:148
Notice those beautiful words:
"...if they choose..."
The entire chapter rests upon agency.
The Father never compels.
The Savior volunteers.
His children willingly respond.
Perhaps that is the first lesson of Zion.
A Zion people cannot be forced into existence.
They must choose Christ.
🌱 The Spirit Must Expand
One verse completely changed the way I think about spiritual growth.
"...their spirit is able to expand and grow so that the natural man may begin to be overcome... through the power of the Haymehnay they shall receive all things pertaining to exaltation."
— Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn 1:161
Notice what changes first.
Not our circumstances.
Not merely our knowledge.
Our spirit.
The record teaches that as our spirit expands, the natural man begins to lose his hold.
That caused me to ask myself:
What if becoming Christlike is not primarily about learning more information?
What if it is about allowing the Holy Spirit—Haymehnay—to enlarge our very souls?
⚔️ Two Different Ways
The chapter presents two completely different paths.
Ayahtsuhway—the Chosen One—freely submits His will.
He willingly sacrifices.
He says,
"We will go down."
Tsuhksehknwiht refuses.
He seeks glory without sacrifice.
Power without transformation.
The Father summarizes his philosophy in one unforgettable sentence:
"Tsuhksehknwiht desired power without cost and cause without effect."

That sentence reached into my own heart.
How often do I want the blessings of Christ...
Without becoming like Christ?
🔥 Faith Requires Opposition
Then comes another remarkable statement.
"The rebellion of Tsuhksehknwiht will provide opposition upon which faith may take form."
— Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn 1:189
God does not celebrate rebellion.
But He can redeem even opposition.
Faith grows where choices are real.
Love grows where obedience is voluntary.
Character grows where sacrifice is embraced.
Perhaps that is why mortality exists.
❤️ The Greatest Meaning of Consecration
The verses that touched me most are these:
"Then all the true sons and daughters... submitted their own will... and consecrated with a covenant all that they had made and learned in the Everlasting Covenant unto Ayahtsuhway."
— Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn 1:199
I have always thought of consecration as giving God what I own.
This verse showed me something deeper.
Consecration is giving God what I have become.
Every lesson.
Every failure.
Every victory.
Every sorrow.
Every act of faith.
Everything that has shaped my soul.
Placed willingly into the hands of Jesus Christ.
🌄 The Blueprint of Zion
As our Zoom discussion unfolded, one thought kept returning to my heart.
The blueprint of Zion is really the blueprint of becoming like Jesus Christ.
Knowledge.
Sacrifice.
Virtue.
Consecration.
These are not simply principles.
They are the path.
Zion is not first a city.
It is not first a gathering.
It is a people whose hearts have become like their King.
🙏 My Personal Reflection
The deeper I study the Nemenhah Sacred Records, the more one truth becomes unmistakably clear.
These records continually point me to Jesus Christ.
They invite me to trust Him.
To surrender my will.
To allow my spirit to expand.
To overcome the natural man.
To consecrate everything I have become.
Perhaps that has always been the blueprint of Zion.
Not merely building a holy city...
But becoming a holy people.
A people who look like Jesus Christ.
