BABYLON FALLS….......... ZION RISES

BABYLON FALLS… ZION RISES

The Last Days Pattern in the Nemenhah Records

What Happens When a Society Places a Price on Everything

There is a pattern repeated throughout scripture.

Not just in the Bible.
Not just in the Book of Mormon.
But also in the Nemenhah Records.

A society slowly drifts away from stewardship…
away from sacred relationship…
away from seeing life as holy…

…and begins measuring everything by value, ownership, control, profit, efficiency, and money.

At first, it looks successful.

The cities grow.
The markets expand.
The buildings rise higher.
Technology advances.
The system becomes powerful outwardly.

But inwardly?

It becomes brittle.

That is exactly the warning given in Chapter 10 of the Nemenhah Records concerning the “Foreign Strangers.”  THE BOOK OF MAYMIHTS AHKEHKT.

Not necessarily foreigners by blood…

…but a mindset.

A way of thinking.

A civilization built on valuation instead of consecration.

THE WARNING OF CHAPTER 10

The Nemenhah says something astonishing.

It says the last days system would become a world where:

  • everything has a money value,
  • governments tax and account for everything,
  • people exploit the earth,
  • even religion becomes monetized,
  • and eventually even human beings themselves are assigned value.

That is not a small prophecy.

That is the world we live in now.

“ALL THINGS SHALL HAVE A VALUE IN MONEY”

Chapter 10:6

“Unto the Gentiles in the last days, all things shall have a value in money.”

Think about that statement.

Not some things.

All things.

Homes.
Land.
Food.
Medicine.
Education.
Time.
Water.
Relationships.
Even people.

The Nemenhah then expands this warning further:

Chapter 10:8–9

It says their homes, tools, raiment, and possessions would all be listed and accounted according to monetary value…

…and even the people themselves would have a value placed upon them.

That sounds disturbingly modern.

Today we measure people constantly:

  • net worth,
  • credit score,
  • productivity,
  • income,
  • social status,
  • influence,
  • numbers,
  • statistics,
  • memberships,
  • metrics.

Even worthiness often becomes institutionalized into systems.

WHEN CONSECRATION BECOMES MONEY

THE BOOK OF MAYMIHTS AHKEHKT Chapter 10

One of the strongest teachings in Chapter 10 is the difference between:

TRUE CONSECRATION

vs.

FALSE CONSECRATION

The Nemenhah says the Foreign Strangers would misunderstand consecration entirely.

Chapter 10:5

Even if the Peacemaker Himself taught them directly, they would still interpret His words through systems of value and ownership.

That is a profound warning.

Because true consecration was never about creating a financial machine.

It was about making things holy.

Chapter 10:16

“To make a thing holy is to consecrate it unto the Peacemaker.”

That changes everything.

Consecration is not merely donation.

It is not accounting.

It is not institutional control.

It is not measuring devotion by financial contribution.

It is about holiness.

Relationship.

Stewardship.

Love.

Service.

Care.

A PERSONAL STORY

Years ago, I sat in my stake president’s office.

I loved him dearly.
Still do.

This is not written against him.

He was sincere.

But I asked him something that had deeply troubled me.

I said something like:

“In the temple, I made a covenant of consecration.
Does that mean I need to change my will and leave everything to the church?”

He looked genuinely confused.

Not offended.

Not angry.

Just puzzled.

And in that moment, something hit me deeply.

Even many good religious people no longer understood what consecration originally meant.

Because somewhere along the way, consecration became interpreted primarily through ownership, property, legal systems, money, and institutional structure.

But the Nemenhah describes consecration very differently.

THE TRUE PILLAR OF CONSECRATION

The records say true consecration looks like this:

Chapter 10:27

  • Provide for your own needs
  • Create surplus to help others

Chapter 10:28

  • Care for the earth and its creatures
  • Work to help, not merely to become rich

And then comes the great summary:

Chapter 10:16

“Make all things holy unto the Peacemaker.”

That is Zion.

Not forced equality.
Not centralized control.
Not systems of dependency.

But people becoming holy in how they live.

Families learning stewardship.

Communities serving each other.

People preparing quietly before the storm.

THE SYSTEM BECOMES BRITTLE

The Nemenhah also says something else remarkable.

Chapter 10:10

This condition becomes a sign of the last days.

Why?

Because systems built on imbalance eventually collapse under their own weight.

Outwardly strong.
Inwardly weak.

Exactly like the first image shows.

Babylon appears massive…

…but underneath it, the roots are dying.

Trust fades.
Confusion grows.
People lose meaning.
Many quietly leave the “great and spacious building.”

And meanwhile…

something else begins growing.

Quietly.

Underground.

ZION BEGINS BEFORE THE COLLAPSE IS COMPLETE

One of the most important ideas in the Nemenhah Records is this:

Zion starts BEFORE Babylon fully falls.

That matters.

Because many people wait for dramatic events.

But Zion begins quietly.

Small groups.
Families.
Simple stewardship.
Learning peace.
Learning service.
Learning sacred relationship.

People becoming different before the world changes.

The roots grow underground before the storm hits.

That line in the image may be one of the deepest truths in the whole discussion.

EVEN RELIGION CAN BECOME MONETIZED

This part may be uncomfortable.

But Chapter 10 goes there directly.

Chapter 10:11

It says even religious shepherds would place a value upon the heads of the people.

That does not mean all religious people are corrupt.

Far from it.

Many are sincere and wonderful.

But institutions can slowly drift into systems where access, participation, status, or advancement become connected to money, metrics, or compliance structures.  Does this mean pay $ to get a Recommend?

When that happens…

the spirit of Babylon quietly enters religion itself.

And most people inside the system do not even notice it happening.

Because it happens gradually.

THE MONEY SYSTEM ENSLAVES

Chapter 10:32

The record warns that when people give way to systems centered on money, they eventually surrender authority to those systems.

Chapter 10:33

It says enduring peace cannot exist where any form of slavery remains.

That includes:

  • debt slavery,
  • fear slavery,
  • addiction to consumption,
  • institutional dependency,
  • spiritual dependency,
  • and systems where people lose stewardship over their own lives.

The issue is not money itself.

The issue is when money becomes the master.

THE REAL PREPARATION

The Nemenhah emphasis is not fear.

Not panic.

Not date-setting.

Not bunker mentality.

The real preparation is becoming the kind of people who can live the Way.

That is why the right side of the first image is so peaceful.

Stewardship.
Consecration.
Community.
Family councils.
Sacred relationship.
Peace and service.

That is Zion growing quietly while Babylon shakes loudly.

THE GREAT QUESTION

The question is not:

“How fast is Babylon collapsing?”

The deeper question is:

“What kind of person am I becoming while it does?”

Because the Nemenhah pattern is clear:

Babylon falls slowly…
then suddenly.

But Zion rises quietly…
then steadily.

And it begins in the human heart first.

PREPARE. CONSECRATE. SERVE. BECOME REFUGE.

The Nemenhah Records are not ultimately about doom.

They are about becoming refuge.

A people of peace in a fearful world.

A people of stewardship in a world of exploitation.

A people of holiness in a world obsessed with valuation.

And maybe that is the real invitation of Chapter 10.

Not merely to criticize Babylon…

…but to stop building it inside ourselves.
