✨ HOW TO TALK WITH JESUS DAILY
✨ HOW TO TALK WITH JESUS DAILY
π️ A Simple Guide for an Old Man Trying to Hear His Shepherd’s Voice
(New teaching videos every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday)
Hello friends.
This is just an old man from the sticks, trying to walk honestly with Jesus.
Not with fancy titles… not with robes or ranks… just the Savior.
And if you’re here, I think you want the same thing.
Today I want to share how to talk with Jesus daily — in a way that is simple, scriptural, doable, and life-changing.
Not complicated.
Not mystical.
Just real.
Because He still speaks, and He’s speaking right now to anyone with ears to hear (Revelation 3:20).
Starting this week, I’ll be releasing a new video every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday on this very topic — how to walk with the Savior in real life, every day.
Each video will have a matching blog post like this one, released on the same day, for anyone who prefers reading, studying, or sharing.
Let’s walk through this together.
πΏ 1. The Scriptural Foundation — We Are Meant to Hear Him
The Bible and the Book of Mormon teach the same thing:
God talks to ordinary people.
Not just prophets. Not just ancient heroes.
Every disciple.
π Bible
John 10:27 — “My sheep hear my voice.”
James 1:5 — Ask God for wisdom; He gives liberally.
Revelation 3:20 — “I stand at the door and knock.”
π Book of Mormon
2 Nephi 32:3 — Angels teach those who feast on His word.
2 Nephi 32:8–9 — Pray always; the evil one tries to silence prayer.
Alma 37:36–37 — Counsel with the Lord in all your doings.
3 Nephi 11:14–17 — He invites disciples to come unto Him, one by one.
Jesus never meant to be a distant figure.
π He meant to be the daily companion of every believer.
π₯ 2. Talking With Jesus Starts With Turning Down the Noise
Most people don’t hear Him because the world is too loud.
Phones. News. Politics. Church noise. Responsibilities.
Everyone wants your attention.
The Savior says:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
π―️ A simple practice:
Find a quiet spot
Sit still
Breathe slowly
And say:
“Lord… I’m here.”
You don’t have to perform.
You don’t have to impress Him.
You just show up.
And He will too.
π 3. How Jesus Speaks — Scripture Gives Us the Pattern
① A Still, Small Voice
(1 Kings 19:12, 3 Nephi 11:3)
② Through Scripture
Verses become personal messages.
③ Through Pure Thoughts
(Alma 12:7; D&C 8:2)
Ideas that feel lifted, clean, and brighter than your own.
④ Through Burning or Warmth in the Heart
(Luke 24:32)
⑤ Through Dreams & Visions
(Joel 2:28; Helaman 10)
⑥ Through Other People
Timely words sent from Him.
⑦ Through Direct Encounter
The promise of the Doctrine of Christ:
“I will manifest myself unto you.” (2 Nephi 32:6)
π 4. The Simple Daily Pattern
A. Pray Simply
“Lord, guide me today.”
B. Ask One Question
One question unlocks more revelation than a list.
C. Open the Scriptures
Let Him highlight your verse of the day.
D. Write Down What Comes
Even a few words. This is how you learn to recognize Him.
E. Check In Often
Little prayers. Little nudges.
F. End the Day With Gratitude
Peace settles in.
π‘️ 5. How to Know It’s Really His Voice
Scripture gives the tests:
✔️ Brings peace (John 14:27)
✔️ Leads to goodness (Moroni 7:13)
✔️ Gentle, not loud (3 Nephi 11:3)
✔️ Draws you closer to Him (Alma 5)
✔️ Always aligns with His teachings (2 Nephi 31–32)
If the voice leads you to love, repent, forgive, or soften —
that’s Him.
π️ 6. What Happens When You Talk With Jesus Daily
Peace increases
Scripture opens up
Fear loses its grip
Temptation weakens
You begin to recognize Him
You walk with Him instead of just talking about Him
And then, one day…
π You know His voice.
Not because you’re special,
but because He keeps His promises.
