Video 82 — Spiritual Eyes

๐Ÿ“ Learning to See Differently

Something started changing after I began asking honest questions.

Not all at once.

But little by little…

I started seeing things differently.

๐Ÿ‘€ The Same Life — A Different View

Nothing around me really changed.

Same house.
Same people.
Same routines.

Church was still there.
Scriptures were still the same pages I had read for years.

But somehow…

it didn’t feel the same anymore.

๐Ÿ“– Reading — But Actually Seeing

I had read the scriptures my whole life.

Marked them.
Highlighted them.
Even color-coded them.

(For me, anything about Christ was purple.)

But now…

it was like I wasn’t just reading anymore.

I was seeing.

Verses I had gone over a hundred times…

suddenly felt alive.

Not new words—

just new understanding.

๐Ÿ’ก When It Clicked

One day I realized something that kind of stopped me in my tracks.

A lot of what I had been doing before…

was reading through a lens I didn’t even know I had.

Traditions.
Assumptions.
Things I had always been told.

And once that lens started to lift…

everything looked different.

๐Ÿ” Patterns I Had Never Noticed

That’s when I started noticing things I had completely missed before.

Connections.

Patterns.

Even structure—like chiasmus.

And here’s what hit me:

A lot of those patterns pointed straight to Christ.

Almost like the scriptures had been quietly testifying of Him the whole time…

and I just hadn’t seen it yet.

๐Ÿง  It Wasn’t About Getting Smarter

This wasn’t about becoming a scholar.

It wasn’t about learning more facts.

If anything…

it felt like unlearning.

Letting go of things I thought I already understood.

And just letting the words speak for themselves.

❤️ Seeing People Differently Too

And it didn’t just affect how I saw scripture.

It changed how I saw people.

Including people in the Church.

Instead of frustration…

I started seeing sincerity.

Good people doing the best they could with what they had been given.

That softened me.

A lot.

๐Ÿงญ The Big Realization

Here’s what I started to understand:

You don’t need a new book to see truth.

You need new eyes.

And those eyes don’t come from effort alone.

They come from honesty…

and a willingness to actually see what’s there.

๐Ÿ•Š️ A Different Kind of Vision

The scriptures talk about having “eyes to see.”

I used to think that meant understanding more.

Now I think it means something simpler:

Being willing to see Christ…

even if it changes how you’ve always seen everything else.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ Where This Leads

This didn’t make me louder.

It made me quieter.

More thoughtful.

Less interested in arguing…

and more interested in actually living what I was seeing.

✨ If This Is Happening to You

If things are starting to look different to you…

you’re not crazy.

You’re not lost.

You might just be starting to see.

๐ŸŒ… Final Thought

I used to read scripture to understand it.

Now I read it to find Him.

And once you start seeing Him…

you can’t really go back to reading the same way again.
