π₯ Video 83 — The Lamp and the Path
Video 83 — The Lamp and the Path
π You Don’t See the Whole Path
One of the hardest things for me to learn…
was this:
You don’t get to see the whole path.
π¦ Wanting to See Everything
I used to think that if I was doing things right…
I should understand where everything was going.
Clear direction.
Clear answers.
Clear outcomes.
That felt safe.
That felt like control.
π The Scripture I Thought I Understood
There’s a scripture we’ve all heard:
“The word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
I used to read that like it meant:
“God will show you the way.”
But I missed something.
A lamp…
doesn’t light the whole road.
π£ Just the Next Step
A lamp shows you just enough…
for your next step.
Not the next mile.
Not next year.
Not how everything works out.
Just…
one step.
π§ That Was Hard for Me
Because I like to figure things out.
I like to connect the dots.
I like to know where things are going.
But this journey didn’t work that way.
Not at all.
π€️ Walking Without the Map
There were moments where I honestly didn’t know what I was doing.
Things I used to feel sure about…
didn’t feel as solid anymore.
And things I had never thought about before…
started to matter.
That space in between?
That’s uncomfortable.
❤️ Learning to Trust Anyway
But something else started happening.
Even without a full picture…
there was peace in the next step.
Not always clarity.
Not always answers.
But enough to keep going.
π Looking Back, Not Ahead
Here’s the interesting part:
I rarely understood things in the moment.
But when I looked back…
it made sense.
Step by step.
Piece by piece.
Almost like the path was only visible…
after I walked it.
π️ A Different Kind of Faith
I used to think faith meant believing everything upfront.
Now I think it means something simpler:
Taking the next step…
even when you don’t see the whole picture.
π§ This Changed How I Live
This changed everything for me.
Less pressure to figure it all out.
Less need to force answers.
More willingness to just…
walk.
π£ If You’re in That Space
If you feel like you don’t know exactly where things are going…
you’re probably closer than you think.
You don’t need the whole path.
You just need enough light…
for today.
π Final Thought
I don’t see everything clearly.
I still don’t.
But I’ve learned this:
The Lord doesn’t usually give you a spotlight.
He gives you a lamp.
And if you trust that small light…
it will lead you exactly where you’re supposed to go.
