๐ŸŒธ The Mothers of Zion

๐ŸŒธ The Mothers of Zion

Listen to the New Song of Zion:   Mother's of Zion

"Her children arise up, and call her blessed..." — Proverbs 31:28

Hello, my friends.

It's me again...

Just the old man from the sticks.

Today I'd like to talk about some of the greatest builders of Zion.

Most of them will never stand behind a pulpit.

Most will never write a book.

Many will never have their names remembered by history.

Yet heaven knows every one of them.

They are the mothers of Zion.

๐ŸŒฟ Before Zion Is Built...

Before a city learns peace...

A child learns kindness.

Before a nation learns compassion...

Someone teaches forgiveness around a kitchen table.

Long before great leaders speak to crowds...

A mother is quietly speaking to one little heart.

That's where Zion begins.

Not in a palace.

Not in a council.

But in a home.

❤️ The Quiet Miracles

I've watched mothers my whole life.

They somehow remember everyone's birthdays.

They notice when someone is hurting before anyone else does.

They make one more meal.

Write one more note.

Offer one more prayer.

Open one more door.

Most of the time...

No one applauds.

No one even notices.

But heaven notices.

๐Ÿ•Š️ The Strength the World Often Misses

The world usually celebrates the loudest voices.

The strongest armies.

The biggest accomplishments.

Heaven often celebrates something entirely different.

Patience.

Gentleness.

Long-suffering.

Mercy.

A mother sitting beside a sick child through the night.

A grandmother quietly praying for her grandchildren every morning.

A wife encouraging her husband when no one else sees the burden she carries.

Those things rarely make the news.

Yet they may be among the greatest works ever performed.

๐ŸŒธ Generations Are Built One Child at a Time

One of the beautiful truths about motherhood is that its influence doesn't end with one generation.

Children become parents.

Grandchildren become grandparents.

Kindness is passed from hand to hand.

Faith is whispered from heart to heart.

The seeds planted today may not bloom for many years.

But bloom they will.

That is how Zion grows.

Quietly.

Patiently.

Faithfully.

๐ŸŒ„ My Porch Thought

As I've grown older, I've become convinced that much of what is beautiful in this world can be traced back to a mother...

Or a grandmother...

Who simply loved without expecting recognition.

The scriptures remember prophets.

History remembers kings.

But I wonder how many of those prophets first learned to pray beside a faithful mother.

How many leaders first learned kindness because someone patiently showed them what Christ-like love looked like at home.

If Zion ever fills the earth...

It will be because countless mothers first filled their homes with love.

And that may be one of the greatest miracles of all.
