Listen to the New Song of Zion: One Heart
The Quiet Miracle That Builds Zion
Hello, my friends.
It's me again...
just the old man from the sticks.
I've noticed something over the years.
The adversary spends an awful lot of time trying to convince us that our differences are bigger than the things we have in common.
Politics.
Churches.
Backgrounds.
Generations.
Opinions.
Traditions.
Before long, we forget that the person sitting across from us is still one of our Heavenly Father's children.
Maybe that's exactly what the adversary hopes we'll forget.
❤️ Zion Doesn't Require Sameness
One of the biggest misunderstandings about Zion is thinking everyone has to become exactly alike.
But look around.
God didn't create one kind of flower.
One kind of tree.
One kind of bird.
Creation itself is wonderfully diverse.
Unity was never meant to erase our uniqueness.
It was meant to unite our hearts.
π€ One Heart Doesn't Mean One Opinion
We won't always agree.
We never have.
Even among the Savior's disciples there were different personalities, different experiences, and different ways of seeing the world.
Yet Jesus didn't ask them to become identical.
He asked them to love one another.
That may be one of the hardest commandments He ever gave.
And perhaps the most important.
π± Every Soul Matters
Sometimes we think building Zion requires great leaders.
Great speakers.
Great miracles.
But perhaps Zion grows every time someone chooses kindness over criticism...
Understanding over judgment...
Listening over arguing...
Forgiveness over resentment.
Those small choices slowly soften hearts.
Including our own.
✝️ The Savior's Prayer
Before His suffering, Jesus prayed that His followers might be one.
Not simply organized together.
Not merely gathered together.
But united in love and purpose.
When our hearts begin turning toward Him, they naturally begin turning toward one another.
That is where real unity begins.
π️ Choosing One Heart
Maybe becoming "one heart" doesn't happen all at once.
Maybe it happens one conversation at a time.
One apology.
One act of forgiveness.
One invitation.
One meal shared.
One burden carried.
Little by little, the walls come down.
And strangers become family.
π΅ Why I Wrote This Song
As I studied the scriptures and the Nemenhah teachings, one truth kept returning.
Zion isn't built by winning arguments.
It's built by winning hearts.
Not through force.
Not through fear.
But through Christlike love.
The more our hearts become like His...
The closer Zion comes.
