🕊️ Restored Gospel vs. Post-Joseph LDS Theology

(Expanded, Scripture-Anchored Study)

There was a time I didn’t question any of this.

I believed the Restoration was complete.
That everything lined up the way it was supposed to.

But over time…

Through scripture—especially the Book of Mormon…
And through records like the Nemenhah Records…

I started noticing something.

Not loudly.
Not critically.

Just quietly.

👉 Some things don’t match anymore.

So I wrote this out…
simple…
so anyone can check it.

🔥 1. Baptism of the Holy Ghost

Restored Gospel (Scriptural Pattern):
A distinct, experiential baptism of fire—not symbolic.

📖 2 Nephi 31:13

“Then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.”

📖 3 Nephi 9:20

“Ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit…”

👉 This describes a transforming event, not just a conferral.

Nemenhah Insight:
The Haymehnay seals truth into the soul—it is felt, lived, and confirmed inwardly.

Post-Joseph LDS Framing:
Received at confirmation (age 8), often viewed as conferred by authority.

👉 Observation:
Scripture emphasizes experience and transformation
Institution emphasizes ordinance and conferral

🪶 2. Truth Progression

Restored Gospel:
Truth grows—and sometimes replaces what we thought was true.

📖 Alma 32:28

“It beginneth to swell within your breasts…”

📖 D&C 50:24

“That which is of God is light…”

👉 Truth is alive and expanding

Nemenhah:
Teach principles, not rigid systems—so truth can continue across generations.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Truth is preserved through prophetic continuity; consistency is emphasized.

👉 Observation:
Living revelation vs stabilized framework

⚖️ 3. Authority & Apostasy

Restored Gospel Definition:
Apostasy begins when people rely on men instead of God.

📖 2 Nephi 28:31

“Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man…”

📖 Jeremiah 17:5

“Cursed be the man that trusteth in man…”

Nemenhah Pattern:
Even covenant people fall when they stop seeking the Peacemaker directly.

Post-Joseph LDS Definition:
Apostasy = rejecting prophetic leadership.

👉 Observation:
Scripture warns against misplaced trust
Institution defines safety through leadership alignment

🔁 4. The Nature of the Soul

Restored Gospel (Expanded View):
God’s work is ongoing… growth continues.

📖 John 5:17

“My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”

Nemenhah Themes:
Souls are placed according to readiness; progression continues beyond a single phase.

Post-Joseph LDS:
One mortal life followed by final judgment.

👉 Observation:
Continuous progression vs single probation model

🏛️ 5. Endowment of Power

Restored Gospel:
Power comes from God directly to the sanctified.

📖 Luke 24:49

“Endued with power from on high.”

📖 Acts 1:8

“Ye shall receive power…”

👉 Not tied to location—tied to condition of heart

Nemenhah:
The Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn trains individuals to see and hear God directly

Post-Joseph LDS:
Endowment connected to temple ceremony and priesthood structure.

👉 Observation:
Heaven-sent empowerment vs structured ritual system

🌍 6. Church vs Kingdom

Restored Gospel:
The Kingdom of God is internal first.

📖 Luke 17:21

“The kingdom of God is within you.”

📖 Romans 14:17

“The kingdom of God is… righteousness, and peace…”

Nemenhah:
Zion is lived—through relationships, consecration, and unity.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Church organization represents the Kingdom.

👉 Observation:
Inner kingdom vs institutional identity

👁️ 7. Spiritual Equality

Restored Gospel:
The Spirit is poured out on all.

📖 Joel 2:28

“Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…”

📖 Moroni 10:5

“By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”

Nemenhah:
Council of Mothers, shared stewardship, women and men both acting in spiritual authority 

Post-Joseph LDS:
Revelation flows primarily through ordained hierarchy.

👉 Observation:
Distributed gifts vs centralized authority

🧠 8. Iniquity & Blindness

Restored Gospel:
Iniquity includes replacing God’s voice with tradition.

📖 Mark 7:13

“Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition…”

📖 Mosiah 3:19

“Putteth off the natural man…”

Nemenhah:
Warning against turning sacred things into rigid, lifeless systems.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Iniquity framed primarily as behavioral sin.

👉 Observation:
Spiritual blindness vs moral framing

🌱 9. Suffering & Transformation

Restored Gospel:
Suffering transforms—not just tests.

📖 Mosiah 24:14–15

“I will also ease the burdens…”

📖 Hebrews 12:6

“Whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth…”

Nemenhah:
Trials refine godlike character, not just obedience patterns.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Often framed as tests of worthiness or endurance.

🧭 10. Hearing God

Restored Gospel Core:
Everything leads to this:

“My sheep hear my voice…”

“The Holy Ghost… will show unto you all things…”

Train your senses to actually hear and see—this is the purpose of the path.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Guidance often comes through leaders and correlated teachings.

Direct relationship vs mediated guidance

🌿 11. Zion

Restored Gospel:
Zion begins inside.

📖 Moses 7:18

“The Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart…”

Nemenhah:
Rule of 150, consecration, unity, lived peace.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Future gathering, temple expansion.

👉 Observation:
Present reality vs future expectation

🔓 12. Sacred vs Living

This one hit me hardest.

From your earlier study:

📖 Tsi Muhayl 8:38

“When the holy incense is taken away…” 

👉 Meaning:

When the Spirit is gone…
but the structure remains.

Restored Gospel:
The Spirit makes everything alive.

Nemenhah:
Without the Haymehnay, ordinances are empty.

Post-Joseph LDS:
Structure continues regardless of individual spiritual experience.

👉 Observation:
Living presence vs preserved form

❤️ Final Thought (Stay Soft)

I’m not writing this to tear anything down.

There are good, sincere people everywhere.
People who love the Savior deeply.

I’ve been one of them my whole life.

But the scriptures keep pointing me to something simple:

👉 The goal was never to follow a system.
👉 The goal was to know Him.

And once you start seeing that…

Everything begins to line up differently.
