🌿 Walk the Peacemaker's Path

🌿 Walk the Peacemaker's Path

Listen to the New Song of Zion:   The Peacemaker's Path

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

Hello, my friends.

It's me again...

Just the old man from the sticks.

I've been thinking lately...

The world has plenty of roads.

Some promise success.

Some promise power.

Some promise wealth.

Some promise that if we just fight a little harder, argue a little louder, or prove we're right often enough, everything will somehow work out.

But the Peacemaker offered another road.

A quieter one.

A better one.

🌿 Every Day We Choose a Path

Life is really just a series of little choices.

Do I forgive...

or hold a grudge?

Do I listen...

or simply wait for my turn to speak?

Do I build...

or criticize?

Those little choices become a trail.

And after enough years...

they become the road we're walking.

The beautiful thing is that every sunrise gives us another opportunity to choose the better path.

πŸ•Š️ The Peacemaker Never Led With Fear

When I read the scriptures, something stands out to me.

The Savior never forced anyone.

He invited.

He healed.

He forgave.

He lifted.

He restored.

He certainly spoke truth, but He never separated truth from love.

The strongest people I have ever known weren't those who could win every argument.

They were the ones who could calm a room simply by walking into it.

That's real strength.

πŸŒ„ Zion Begins With One Heart

Sometimes we think Zion will come because of one great event.

Maybe.

But I wonder if it comes another way.

One kind word.

One forgiven offense.

One lonely person welcomed.

One family choosing peace instead of pride.

One neighbor helping another.

One heart becoming a little more like Christ.

Then another.

And another.

Until one day we look around and realize...

we've been building Zion all along.

❤️ Walking Beside Him

I love the chorus of this week's song because it doesn't simply say...

"Walk the path."

It says...

"Walk the Peacemaker's path... and let Him walk with you."

That's the difference.

Christianity isn't simply trying harder.

It's walking with Someone.

Every act of kindness...

Every sacrifice...

Every quiet moment of forgiveness...

He is there.

Leaving footprints beside ours.

Sometimes carrying us when we don't even realize it.

🌿 My Porch Thought

I've lived long enough to discover something.

The happiest people aren't usually the richest.

They aren't always the most successful.

They aren't always the ones who are proven right.

They're usually the peacemakers.

The bridge builders.

The forgivers.

The ones who leave every place just a little kinder than they found it.

Maybe that's what Zion really looks like.

Not perfect people.

Just ordinary people...

walking the same path...

behind an extraordinary Savior.

And one day...

finding they've arrived home together.
