๐ฟ Colors of the Wind — A Message We May Have Forgotten
Every Wednesday afternoon I like to share a piece of music that has touched my heart.
This week it is a beautiful orchestral performance of Colors of the Wind from Disney's Pocahontas.

๐ฌ️ A Song That Sounds Familiar
The first time I heard this song years ago, I thought it was simply beautiful music.
Now, after studying the Nemenhah Records, I hear something more.
I hear echoes of a truth that ancient peoples have been teaching for generations.
"You think you own whatever land you land on..."
What a profound statement.
The Nemenhah teach that the earth is not ours.
We were placed here as caretakers.
Stewards.
Gardeners.
The mountains belong to God.
The rivers belong to God.
The forests belong to God.
And so do we.
๐ฑ Everything Bears Witness
One of the themes I love in the Nemenhah Records is that creation itself is a witness.
The wind teaches.
The trees teach.
The mountains teach.
The stars teach.
Not because they speak words, but because they testify of the Creator.
The more I walk the desert trails around Las Vegas, the more I notice this.
The older I get, the less I need noise.
The more I appreciate stillness.
Sometimes the Spirit speaks loudest through a quiet sunrise.
๐จ Walt Disney Got Something Right
Whatever one thinks about the modern entertainment world, this song captured something timeless.
The writers understood that there is a sacred connection between people and creation.
They understood that life is more than ownership.
More than profit.
More than consumption.
It is relationship.
Relationship with God.
Relationship with one another.
Relationship with the earth He created.
That message is worth preserving.
๐ค The Peacemaker
The Nemenhah Records point us to the Peacemaker—Jesus Christ.
He is the Creator of this world.
He is the source of life.
He is the One who brings all things into harmony.
The more I study the scriptures, the Book of Mormon, and the Nemenhah Records, the more I find myself returning to this simple truth:
Everything good points back to Him.
๐ฟ Take Five Minutes
Watch the music.
Watch the Nemenhah video.
Then go outside.
Look at the sky.
Listen to the wind.
Offer a prayer.
And remember that this earth is not merely a resource.
It is a gift.
A sacred gift from Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother.
And perhaps, if we listen carefully, we may still hear the Creator's voice carried upon the wind.
