🪶🔥 THE SACRED WHEEL OF THE NEMENHAH

What If the Records Were Meant to Be Walked… Not Just Read?

Lately I’ve been thinking about something that’s hard to explain…

but I’ll try.

Years ago, when I first discovered chiasms in the Book of Mormon, it completely changed the way I read scripture.

Especially Alma 36.

That chapter absolutely floored me.

The entire thing folded inward almost verse-by-verse toward one central moment:

“O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me.”

Christ was at the center.

Then later I began noticing larger patterns:

• in First Nephi
• in Psalms
• throughout scripture itself

And eventually…

I started seeing similar sacred patterns throughout the Nemenhah records.

But something felt different.

The Book of Mormon often feels very linear in its chiasms.

Almost like:

• a folded pathway
• a mirrored structure
• a sacred literary arc

But the Nemenhah…

feels more circular.

More cyclical.

More like a walk.

And honestly…

that may be exactly the point.

🪶 WHAT IF THE NEMENHAH IS MORE LIKE A SACRED WHEEL?

Not merely:

• chapters
• mirrored lines
• literary devices

But a living pattern.

A journey.

A returning.

A medicine wheel centered on the Peacemaker.

The more I study these records, the more I notice cycles:

• departure and return
• pride and humility
• scattering and gathering
• suffering and healing
• forgetting and remembrance
• collapse and restoration

Again and again.

Not just once.

Like seasons.

Like directions.

Like life itself.

🪶 THE FOUR DIRECTIONS

As I’ve prayed and studied…

the records almost seem to move through four sacred directions.

Not rigidly.

Not mechanically.

But spiritually.

🌅 EAST — BEGINNING / REVELATION

The East feels like:

• awakening
• vision
• calling
• hearing the voice
• departure into the unknown

This is where journeys begin.

Where Lehi leaves Jerusalem.

Where Hagoth journeys.

Where seekers first hear the call of the Peacemaker.

The dawn.

The beginning.

The first light.

🌿 SOUTH — GROWTH / GATHERING

Then comes growth.

Families.

Stewardship.

Teaching children.

Consecration.

Building communities.

Learning how to walk together.

The South feels alive with:

• family
• village
• covenant
• gathering
• learning to love

Not perfectly.

But honestly.

🌑🔥 WEST — SUFFERING / PURIFICATION

Then comes the West.

And honestly…

this may be where most of us live for a while.

The West is:

• pride
• collapse
• affliction
• scattering
• brokenness
• repentance
• humility

This is where people discover they cannot save themselves.

The Mohrhohnahyah writings feel full of this pattern.

Warnings.

Sorrow.

Destruction.

And then…

remembrance.

❄️🪶 NORTH — WISDOM / REFUGE / ZION

Finally comes the North.

Peace.

Stewardship restored.

Humility.

Refuge.

Sacred order.

Simple living.

Hearing God again.

The North feels like:

• wisdom
• calmness
• gathering
• Zion
• healing
• the sacred village
• becoming one

Not domination.

Not empire.

Not control.

Peace.

✨ THE CENTER NEVER CHANGES ✨

And here’s the part that keeps touching me deeply.

No matter which direction the records move…

the center keeps staying the same.

The Peacemaker.

Christ.

The Haymehnay.

The Sacred Way.

Hearing and seeing.

Becoming one.

The center never seems to be:

• power
• institutions
• titles
• control

It keeps pointing back toward relationship with God.

Again and again.

🪶 MAYBE THE RECORDS WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE ONLY ANALYZED

Maybe they were meant to be walked.

Lived.

Experienced.

Maybe the structure itself is trying to teach us something.

Not merely:

“learn information.”

But:

“walk the Way.”

And honestly…

that changes everything.

🪶 I’M NOT CLAIMING TO HAVE EVERYTHING FIGURED OUT

I’m simply sharing what I’m seeing.

Patterns.

Movements.

Cycles.

Sacred returns.

And maybe over time…

the structure will reveal itself more clearly.

But one thing already feels obvious to me:

The center keeps pointing toward Christ.

🪶 MAYBE LIFE ITSELF IS A SACRED WHEEL

We begin.

We wander.

We suffer.

We learn.

We remember.

We return.

And hopefully…

each time we come back to the center…

we look a little more like the Peacemaker than before.

Nemenhah

These Sunday posts are an attempt to visually and spiritually explore sacred patterns found throughout the Nemenhah records — patterns connected to:

• stewardship,
• healing,
• family,
• sacrifice,
• virtue,
• consecration,
• sacred balance,
• and the Way of the Peacemaker.

Over time, these teachings began forming what felt less like isolated doctrines and more like interconnected “wheels” of Zion living.

Not rigid systems.

Living systems.

🪶 One of the things that deeply moved me while studying these records was the role of Mohrhohnahyah (Moroni). After witnessing the collapse of his people through war, pride, greed, and division, the records suggest he and others began preserving teachings designed not merely to help people survive…

…but to help future generations learn how to live differently.

More peacefully.

More wisely.

More in harmony with the Peacemaker, creation, and one another.

🌿 These “medicine wheels” are not meant to be New Age symbols or replacements for scripture. They are simply visual teaching tools meant to help us better understand recurring Nemenhah themes:

• sacred directions,
• covenant living,
• stewardship,
• discernment,
• healing,
• and building Zion gradually through transformed hearts.

Honestly, this project has already changed the way I see the records.

Not as disconnected teachings…

…but as one living pattern quietly teaching people how to become a people of enduring peace.

Each Sunday, we’ll walk through one wheel at a time together.

Not academically.

Not dogmatically.

Just… thoughtfully.

Like sitting around a fire talking about how to walk the Way a little better in a troubled world.
