๐ฟ Journey Through the Nemenhah Sacred Records
Lesson 14
When the Peacemaker Answered
The Prayer That Changed Everything
Listen to the NEW Narration: The Prayer - Hahgmehni
๐ Let's Read the Record Together
This week continue reading The Book of Hahgmehni.
As you read, pay close attention to Hahgmehni's prayer.
Don't rush past it.
Instead, ask yourself one question:
"What kind of prayer receives an answer from the Peacemaker?"
I think this may be one of the most sacred moments in Hahgmehni's entire record.
๐ฟ What Happened?
After leading his people and preserving their history, Hahgmehni sought the Lord with all his heart.
He didn't pray simply because it was expected.
He came seeking understanding.
He desired to know the will of the Peacemaker.
Then something remarkable happened.
The Peacemaker answered.
The Record reminds us that the Lord was not distant.
He was aware.
He was listening.
He responded to a humble servant whose heart was open to receive His word.
As I read these verses, I wasn't impressed simply because a prayer was answered.
I was impressed by the relationship Hahgmehni had developed with the Lord.
๐ก Did You Notice?
One thought stayed with me.
Hahgmehni didn't approach the Peacemaker demanding answers.
He came with humility.
He came willing to listen.
Sometimes I think we spend so much time asking the Lord to hear us...
that we forget to become quiet enough to hear Him.
Perhaps the greatest miracle wasn't that God spoke.
Perhaps it was that Hahgmehni had prepared his heart to recognize His voice.
That made me stop and think.
Would I recognize the Lord's voice if He answered today?
❤️ Walking with the Peacemaker
Jesus taught,
"My sheep hear my voice."
That promise wasn't given only to prophets.
It was given to those who follow Him.
The Lord still speaks.
Sometimes through the scriptures.
Sometimes through the quiet whisperings of His Spirit.
Sometimes through peace that settles into our hearts after sincere prayer.
The question isn't whether He still speaks.
The question is whether we're listening.
๐ก Talking Feather's Porch
This lesson means a great deal to me.
Looking back over my life, I can see times when I prayed for direction and expected a loud answer.
More often than not...
the answer came quietly.
A scripture.
A peaceful feeling.
A gentle impression that stayed with me long after the prayer had ended.
I've learned that the Lord usually isn't trying to overwhelm us.
He's trying to teach us to recognize His voice.
Maybe that's what Hahgmehni was trying to preserve for us.
Not just the memory of one answered prayer...
but the invitation to seek that same relationship with the Peacemaker ourselves.
๐ค A Thought for This Week
When you pray this week...
leave a few moments of silence before saying "Amen."
Simply listen.
The Lord may have something He wants to place upon your heart.
๐ Until Next Time...
Next lesson...
Hahgmehni shares a beautiful teaching about the prayers the Peacemaker hears and the kind of faith that invites His presence into everyday life.
Until then...
Keep reading the Record.
Keep listening for His voice.
And keep walking with the Peacemaker.
