Lesson 16 A Delightsome People Walking the Covenant Every Day
๐ฟ Journey Through the Nemenhah Sacred Records
Lesson 16
A Delightsome People
Walking the Covenant Every Day
Listen to the NEW Narration: A Delightsome People
๐ Let's Read the Record Together
This week continue reading The Book of Hahgmehni.
As you read these next verses, notice how often the Record speaks about the people—not their possessions.
It isn't their wealth that is remembered.
It isn't their power.
It isn't even their victories.
Instead, Hahgmehni describes the kind of people they became.
As you read, ask yourself one question:
"What made these people delightsome before the Peacemaker?"
I think the answer is just as important today as it was then.
๐ฟ What Happened?
As Hahgmehni continues his record, he describes a people who desired to remain faithful to the covenant they had made with the Peacemaker.
They remembered Him.
They taught their children.
They cared for one another.
They sought peace instead of contention.
Their lives reflected the One they worshipped.
The Record reminds us that righteousness wasn't measured by outward appearance.
It was measured by faithful hearts.
As I read these verses, I realized Hahgmehni wasn't describing perfect people.
He was describing a people who continually turned back to the Lord.
๐ก Did You Notice?
One thought stayed with me.
The Record doesn't focus on extraordinary moments.
It focuses on daily faithfulness.
Sometimes we think discipleship happens only during life's biggest decisions.
But Hahgmehni reminds us that covenant people are shaped by countless small choices.
Every prayer.
Every act of kindness.
Every decision to forgive.
Every effort to follow the Peacemaker.
Those little choices slowly change who we become.
❤️ Walking with the Peacemaker
Jesus invited His disciples to follow Him every day.
Not just on the Sabbath.
Not only during times of crisis.
Every day.
A delightsome people are simply people who continue walking with Christ.
When they stumble...
they return.
When they grow weary...
they trust Him.
When they rejoice...
they thank Him.
The covenant becomes more than something they once made.
It becomes the way they live.
๐ก Talking Feather's Porch
This lesson reminded me that the Lord isn't asking me to become someone else overnight.
He's asking me to keep walking.
One faithful step after another.
Looking back over my life, I can see that the greatest changes didn't happen all at once.
They happened little by little.
Scripture by scripture.
Prayer by prayer.
Choice by choice.
Maybe that's why Hahgmehni preserved this part of the Record.
He wanted us to know that becoming a covenant people is a lifelong journey.
The Peacemaker walks it with us every step of the way.
๐ค A Thought for This Week
What one small choice could you make this week that would help you walk a little closer with the Peacemaker?
Sometimes the smallest step becomes the beginning of the greatest journey.
๐ Until Next Time...
Next lesson...
Hahgmehni leaves one of his final testimonies, reminding future generations why these sacred records were preserved.
Until then...
Keep reading the Record.
Keep listening for His voice.
And keep walking with the Peacemaker.
