WELCOME HOME --- "The greatest homecoming doesn't begin when we die... it begins the moment we come unto Christ."
WELCOME HOME
"The greatest homecoming doesn't begin when we die... it begins the moment we come unto Christ."
Listen to the NEW Song of Zion: Welcome Home
When most people hear the words "Welcome Home," they immediately think of heaven.
I understand why.
One day, every faithful disciple hopes to hear those beautiful words from the Savior.
But that isn't what inspired this song.
This song is about today.
It is about the moment we stop running.
The moment we stop believing we have wandered too far.
The moment we discover that Christ has been walking beside us all along, quietly inviting us to come home.
Because home isn't only where we go someday.
Home is where Christ is.
The Door Has Always Been Open
Many of us spend years trying to earn our way back to God.
We carry guilt.
We replay old mistakes.
We wonder if we've failed too many times.
Yet the Savior never said,
"Come unto Me after you've fixed everything."
He simply said,
"Come unto Me."
The door has never been locked.
The invitation has never expired.
His love has never diminished.
Coming Home Begins Today
The journey home doesn't start at the end of mortality.
It starts with the next humble prayer.
The next act of forgiveness.
The next step of faith.
The next quiet moment when we choose to trust Jesus Christ.
Every day we turn toward Him...
we are already coming home.
That changes everything.
Our discipleship is no longer just preparing for another world.
It is learning to live in His presence now.
Home Is a Relationship
Home is not merely a destination.
It is a relationship with the living Christ.
Where He is...
peace is.
Where He is...
mercy is.
Where He is...
hope is.
When we walk with Him, we begin experiencing eternal life long before mortality ends.
That is the miracle of the gospel.
The Final Welcome
Yes, there will come a day when we stand before the Savior face to face.
I believe His welcome will feel wonderfully familiar.
Not because it is the first time we have come home...
But because we have been walking home to Him our entire lives.
The final embrace will simply complete the journey that began the first time we answered His invitation:
"Come unto Me."
A Personal Reflection
This song is not about waiting for heaven.
It is about discovering that heaven begins wherever Jesus Christ is welcomed into our hearts.
Every prayer.
Every act of repentance.
Every quiet moment of trust.
Every step toward Him.
These are all steps toward home.
And one day, after a lifetime of walking with Him, we will hear the words that have been echoing in our hearts all along:
"Welcome home."
