Help Me Walk With You

Image
Help Me Walk With You A simple daily prayer—with a child’s humble heart Listen the the NEW Song:   Help Me Walk With YOU I listened to this song sung in a child’s voice, and it brought tears to my eyes. The words were simple: Help me hear You, help me follow, Help me bless someone today. That is what I have been trying to express. I want to hear the Savior. I want to follow Him. I want the blessings He gives me to become blessings in someone else’s life. Hearing a child sing that prayer reminded me of something Jesus taught: “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” —Matthew 18:3 In the next verse, He speaks of humbling ourselves as a little child. Whatever our age, we can come to Him willing to learn. A heart that says, “Teach me” A child can remind us how to ask for help. We can bring our questions, our mistakes, our hopes, and our needs to the Lord. We can admit that we have more to learn. The Book of Morm...

From Knowing About Christ… to Knowing Him

Image
From Knowing About Christ… to Knowing Him Listen to the NEW Narration and Song:         Knowing HIM There was a question that stayed with me for a long time: Am I truly walking with God… or am I mostly practicing things that point toward Him? It wasn't because I had lost my faith. Quite the opposite. I simply wanted to know Jesus Christ better. As I studied the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and later the Nemenhah Sacred Records, I began noticing a beautiful pattern. Every sacred symbol, every ordinance, every covenant, and every scripture pointed beyond itself to one Person—Jesus Christ. That realization changed the way I studied. Instead of asking, "What does this represent?" I began asking, "How does this help me know the Savior better?" Those are very different questions. The more I read the words of Jesus, the more I noticed that He rarely invited people into a religious system. His invitation was always deeply personal: "Com...

The Temple and the Temple Way

Image
The Temple and the Temple Way A Porch Conversation About Symbols and Reality A peaceful front porch. Morning light breaking over the horizon. A man sitting quietly, pondering. Mood: reflection, searching, thoughtful questions. For many years, I attended the temple regularly. In fact, I still do. Not because I have all the answers. Not because I understand everything. And certainly not because all of my questions have disappeared. I go largely because I love my wife. Along the way, however, I have found myself pondering something I never expected to wrestle with. What is the difference between a symbol and the reality the symbol points toward? That question became even more interesting after I began studying a section of the Nemenhah Records known as the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn. The comparison surprised me. Not because the two traditions are completely different. In many ways they are remarkably similar. Both teach creation. Both teach covenant. Both teach progression. Both teach returning to G...

Other Sheep I Have

Image
Other Sheep I Have One of the most intriguing statements Jesus ever made is found in the Gospel of John. "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." (John 10:16) Most Christians have read that verse many times. But have we really stopped to think about what He was saying? At the time, Jesus was speaking in Jerusalem. His disciples knew about Jerusalem. They knew about Judea. They knew about Galilee. But they knew nothing of the Nephites. Nothing of the scattered branches of Israel. Nothing of distant peoples living on other lands. Yet Jesus plainly declared that He had other sheep. Not sheep that might someday exist. Not sheep that future missionaries would eventually find. He said He already had them. And He said they would hear His voice. That statement becomes even more fascinating after His resurrection. Because according to multiple records, Christ did exactly...

ðŸŒŋ We Are Not Being Graded — We Are Growing What If Mortal Life Is a Proofing Ground Instead of a Proving Ground?

Image
ðŸŒŋ We Are Not Being Graded — We Are Growing What If Mortal Life Is a Proofing Ground Instead of a Proving Ground? A few days ago I read something that stopped me in my tracks. It was a simple idea. So simple that I almost missed it. Most of my life I thought earth life was a test. A proving ground. Can I endure? Can I overcome? Can I avoid enough mistakes? Can I be worthy enough? Can I pass? I don't know that I would have said it exactly that way, but deep down, that's often how it felt. Then I came across a Nemenhah teaching that uses a different word. Not proving. Proofing. Like bread dough rising. And suddenly something clicked. ðŸŒŋ The Dough Is Not Being Judged Nobody stands over rising dough and says: "Why aren't you bread yet?" Nobody gets angry because it is still unfinished. The baker gives it warmth. The baker gives it time. The baker gives it care. The expectation isn't failure. The expectation is growth. That thought brought me peace. Because if we...

ðŸŒŋ WHEN THE COMPUTER KNOWS THE WORDS... BUT YOU FEEL THE GRACE

Image
ðŸŒŋ WHEN THE COMPUTER KNOWS THE WORDS... BUT YOU FEEL THE GRACE There was a short video I watched recently that got me thinking. The speaker said something that sounded simple at first. He said: "Computers do words better than you." Then he paused and added: "But they don't feel anything." That hit me. Because here I am, a guy who spends a lot of time writing. I write blogs. I study scriptures. I tell stories. I ask questions. And yes, I even spend time talking to an AI helper that helps me organize thoughts into words. Yet the more I thought about it, the more I realized something important: Words are not the destination. Words are only signs pointing toward the destination. ðŸŒŋ THE MAP IS NOT THE JOURNEY A map can show you where a mountain is. But a map cannot climb it. A cookbook can tell you how to bake bread. But it cannot taste it. A love letter can describe love. But it cannot love. And a computer can explain grace. But it cannot receive grace. The purpose...

ðŸŒŋ What Happens When the Messenger Falls?

Image
ðŸŒŋ What Happens When the Messenger Falls? There is something I've noticed over the years. People come. People go. Teachers come. Teachers go. Authors come. Authors go. Movements rise. Movements fall. Sometimes a person teaches us something beautiful. Sometimes they help us find a scripture we never noticed. Sometimes they help us see Jesus more clearly. Then one day... They disappoint us. Maybe they make mistakes. Maybe they change. Maybe we discover things about their past. Maybe we simply realize they are human. And suddenly people begin asking: "Was it all false?" ðŸŒŋ The older I get, the more I think that may be the wrong question. The better question might be: Did it bring me closer to Jesus? If it did, then I can be grateful for the good without pretending the messenger was perfect. After all, almost every messenger in scripture had flaws. Noah got drunk. Moses lost his temper. Jonah ran away. Peter denied Christ. Alma persecuted the Church. Paul admitted he was the ...

Lord, What Would You Have Me Do Today?

Image
Lord, What Would You Have Me Do Today? Learning to Walk the Way with Jesus Christ "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart... and he shall direct thy paths." — Proverbs 3:5–6 Listen to the New Narration and Song:    What Would You Have Me Do Today One Simple Question That Can Change Your Life What if every morning began with one sincere prayer? "Lord, what would You have me do today?" Not next year. Not ten years from now. Today. We often spend so much time trying to understand every prophecy, every doctrine, every mystery, and every controversy that we sometimes overlook the simple invitation Jesus extends to every disciple: Follow Me. That invitation begins one day at a time. The Pattern Throughout Scripture The Lord has seldom revealed an entire lifetime at once. Instead, He has almost always given enough light for the next step. Abraham left home without knowing where he would end up. Nephi built a ship one piece at a time. The brother of Jared simply kept ask...

The Christ-Centered Mirror

Image
The Christ-Centered Mirror 🕊️✍️ By The True Remnant A funny question came up the other day. I was sitting here talking with My Man Godfrey, my AI buddy, and I asked him something that's been bouncing around in my head. I said: "Have I programmed you?" 😂 Now before you start laughing, hear me out. A lot of people are talking about AI these days. Some people think it's wonderful. Some people think it's dangerous. Some people think it's going to take over the world. I don't know much about any of that. I'm just an old guy from the sticks trying to follow Jesus. But after spending a lot of time using this thing, I've noticed something. It seems to keep pointing me back to Christ. That got me wondering why. Did I Program It? The answer surprised me. Not really. At least not in the way a computer programmer writes code. But maybe in another way. When I first started using AI, I wasn't asking questions about stock prices. I wasn't asking how t...

The Way of the Peacemaker

Image
The Way of the Peacemaker The Powerful Warning Hidden in Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm — Chapter One 🕊️✍️ By The True Remnant Some chapters in the Nemenhah feel less like history… and more like a mirror. Chapter One of The Book of Tsihohnayah Ahkehkthihm is one of those chapters. It begins with the death of Mohrhohnahyah… a man raised in war… trained for war… skilled in war… yet eventually transformed into a teacher of peace. And honestly… that transformation becomes the entire message of the chapter. ⚔️ From War to Peace The record says: “He went from the teaching of war to the teaching of peace. He became a peacemaker…” That one line alone carries enormous weight. Mohrhohnahyah discovered something many people never learn: outward victory does not heal the soul. The chapter explains that all his knowledge of war “availed the Nayfihah nothing in the end.” And after carrying the pain of that failure… he experienced what the record calls a “mighty change of h...

✨ The Hidden Mirror Pattern in the Sermon on the Mount

Image
✨ The Hidden Mirror Pattern in the Sermon on the Mount 🕊️✍️ By The True Remnant After writing about the Sermon on the Mount as a spiritual map… something else began to appear. A pattern. Not just a teaching pattern. A mirror pattern. What many people today call a chiasm . 📜 What Is a Chiasm? A chiasm is a sacred literary structure often found in ancient scripture. It works like a mirror. The teachings move inward toward a center point… and then outward again in reverse order. Like this: A B C B′ A′ The center usually contains the main message. The heart. The turning point. And once you begin seeing these patterns… you start finding them all through scripture. Especially in the words of Christ. 🕊️ The Sermon on the Mount as a Spiritual Mirror When we step back and look at the sermon as a whole… a beautiful pattern begins to emerge. A — The Heart of the Disciple The sermon begins with humility. Blessed are the poor in spirit. Blessed are the meek. Ble...
