๐Ÿ’ƒ The Dance of the Remnant

When Hope Refuses to Die

Listen to the NEW Song of Zion:   The Dance of the Remnat

Throughout history, God's people have often expressed their faith in ways the world did not understand.

Sometimes they sang.

Sometimes they built altars.

Sometimes they lifted their hands in prayer.

Sometimes they walked around cities in obedience.

Sometimes they simply gathered together and remembered the promises of God.

The outward expression was different.

The inward purpose was always the same.

To declare:

"The Creator has not forgotten us."

The Dance Was Never the Miracle

When many people hear about the Ghost Dance, they imagine only a ceremony.

The deeper story is found beneath the movement.

The dance itself possessed no saving power.

The circle did not redeem anyone.

The drum did not change the human heart.

The miracle was something far greater.

Broken people still believed.

After disease.

After displacement.

After broken promises.

After unimaginable sorrow.

They still gathered.

They still prayed.

They still hoped.

Faith survived where despair seemed inevitable.

That is the true miracle.

The Circle Reminds Us

The circle appears throughout God's creation.

The rising and setting of the sun.

The changing seasons.

The cycle of planting and harvest.

The family gathered around a fire.

The council gathered in peace.

The Medicine Wheel itself reminds us that life continually returns to the Creator.

Perhaps that is why circles speak so deeply to the human soul.

They quietly remind us that God's covenants do not end where our strength does.

His faithfulness continues.

Generation after generation.

The Song Outlives the Singer

One generation sings.

Another remembers.

Children hear stories beside campfires.

Grandparents pass on songs.

Long after the voices grow silent...

the truth remains.

Israel preserved songs of deliverance.

The Psalms carried hope through centuries.

The Book of Mormon preserved the testimonies of prophets long after they had returned to the dust.

The Nemenhah Sacred Records speak often of remembering.

Not because God forgets.

But because His children do.

Every generation must decide whether it will carry the song forward.

Fear Often Misunderstands Faith

History reminds us that fear has a tragic habit of misreading hope.

The gathering of peaceful people was viewed by many as a gathering for war.

Prayer was mistaken for rebellion.

Hope was mistaken for danger.

Fear rarely sees the heart.

Jesus Himself experienced the same misunderstanding.

The Prince of Peace was accused of threatening earthly kingdoms.

Perfect love still casts out fear.

The Remnant Has Always Existed

The Scriptures repeatedly speak of a remnant.

A small group who remain faithful when many turn away.

Sometimes they are hidden.

Sometimes they are scattered.

Sometimes they seem forgotten.

Yet Heaven never loses sight of them.

Isaiah saw the remnant.

Paul wrote of the remnant.

The Book of Mormon speaks of a remnant.

The Nemenhah Sacred Records also look forward to a humble people prepared by the Creator.

Not because they are perfect.

Because they are willing.

The Dance Continues Today

Perhaps the Dance of the Remnant no longer looks the same.

Today it may be a family kneeling in prayer.

A disciple opening the scriptures before sunrise.

A quiet act of forgiveness.

A meal shared with someone in need.

A believer choosing hope instead of bitterness.

Every act that turns the heart toward the Creator becomes another step in the dance.

The outward form changes.

The inward devotion remains.

Until He Comes

The song says,

"Though the dancers fall... the song remains."

What a beautiful truth.

People pass away.

Generations come and go.

Campfires grow cold.

Drums eventually become silent.

Yet the covenant of God continues.

Hope continues.

The Spirit continues.

The invitation of Jesus Christ continues.

The Dance of the Remnant has never really ended.

It simply passes from one faithful generation to the next.

Every time a humble heart chooses love over hatred...

Mercy over revenge...

Faith over despair...

Another step is taken.

Another circle is completed.

Another promise is remembered.

And somewhere...

The Creator smiles.

For His children are still dancing.

Not merely with their feet.

But with their lives.

Until the day the Prince of Peace returns...

and every faithful circle is gathered into one eternal family around Him.
