Over the last several videos we’ve been exploring something fascinating in sacred writings.

Hidden patterns.

Mirror structures.

Something scholars call chiasmus.

It’s a literary design ancient writers sometimes used when recording important teachings.

Ideas move toward a center point…

and then reflect outward again.

And the center usually highlights the most important message.

📜 A Personal Journey

For me, this journey began while studying the Book of Mormon.

I started noticing patterns in the way certain teachings were arranged.

At first I thought it might just be coincidence.

But the more I looked, the clearer it became.

There was structure there.

Careful design.

That discovery eventually led to one of those quiet moments where I prayed and asked the Lord if I was seeing things correctly.

And that moment encouraged me to keep searching.

🌿 Patterns Across Many Records

Since then I’ve continued studying these patterns in various sacred writings.

Sometimes the patterns appear in a few verses.

Sometimes they appear in entire chapters.

And sometimes, as we saw recently, they seem to appear across whole books.

For me, discovering those structures has been like finding hidden architecture in writings I had read many times before.

✨ Why These Discoveries Matter

The patterns themselves are interesting.

But what matters more is what they point toward.

The center of these structures often highlights the most important ideas.

Faith.

Repentance.

Christ.

And the possibility of communities built on peace and harmony with the Creator.

🪶 A Talking Feather Thought

One thing I’ve learned through this journey is that sacred texts often reward careful readers.

When we slow down…

when we read thoughtfully…

sometimes new layers of meaning appear.

Almost like discovering rooms in a house you didn’t realize were there.

Are we still discovering patterns in sacred writings today?

I believe we are.

Every generation of readers sees things that previous generations may have missed.

And sometimes those discoveries invite us to look deeper…

and ask new questions.
