If you've spent much time in the Book of Mormon, you probably know the verse. King Benjamin teaches: "For the natural man is an enemy to God..." I've always loved that scripture because it explains a battle every one of us understands. Not a battle against governments. Not a battle against institutions. Not even a battle against other people. A battle within ourselves. Part of us wants Christ. Part of us wants our own way. Part of us wants heaven. Part of us wants comfort. King Benjamin teaches that we must yield to the Holy Spirit, put off the natural man, and become humble, submissive, meek, patient, and childlike. The sun was just beginning to come up. The world was still. And I found myself reading one of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon. Mosiah 3:19. I've probably read that verse hundreds of times over the years. Maybe you have too. King Benjamin says: "For the natural man is an enemy to God..." Every time I read it, it hits me a little differently. Because King Benjamin wasn't talking about somebody else. He was talking about me. My pride. My impatience. My stubbornness. 🌿 What Happens When the Messenger Falls? There is something I've noticed over the years. People come. People go. Teachers come. Teachers go. Authors come. Authors go. Movements rise. Movements fall. Sometimes a person teaches us something beautiful. Sometimes they help us find a scripture we never noticed. Sometimes they help us see Jesus more clearly. Then one day... They disappoint us.    Are We Still Discovering Hidden Patterns in Sacred Texts?   🧭   Opening Over the last several videos we’ve been exploring something fascinating in sacred writings. Hidden patterns. Did Jesus Take Our Punishment—or Show Us the Way Home? The Nemenhah Sacred Records, the Scapegoat, Personal Accountability, and the deeper meaning of At-one-ment There is a question I have been wrestling with lately. It is a big one. What exactly did Jesus Christ save us from—and what did His sacrifice make possible? Like many Christians, I grew up hearing words such as: Atonement. Sin. Sacrifice. Forgiveness. Savior. Repentance. I still believe deeply in Jesus Christ as my Savior. But as I have studied the Nemenhah Sacred Records, particularly the Tuhhuhl Nuhmehn , I have begun wondering whether I understood the word Atonement as completely as I thought I did.
