❤️ Come to the Center
Where Every Road Leads Back to Christ
There is a question every disciple eventually asks.
Where is the center?
The world offers many answers.
Some believe the center is wealth.
Others make success the center.
Some build life around politics.
Others around institutions.
Still others around personal achievement.
Whatever stands at the center...
eventually shapes everything else.
That is why the greatest question is not,
"What do I believe?"
It is,
"What stands at the center of my life?"
Every Wheel Has a Center
The Nemenhah Sacred Records use the image of the Medicine Wheel to teach an eternal principle.
A wheel cannot function without its center.
Remove the hub...
and every spoke collapses.
The center is what gives purpose, direction, and strength to every part of the whole.
The symbol itself is not sacred because of its shape.
It is sacred because of what it points toward.
The Creator.
Jesus Christ.
The Peacemaker.
Without Him...
the pattern loses its meaning.
Christ Is the Center of Every Covenant
Throughout Scripture, God continually calls His people back to Himself.
When Israel wandered,
He called them home.
When the prodigal son was far away,
the Father watched for his return.
When Peter sank beneath the waves,
Jesus reached out His hand.
The invitation has never changed.
Come back.
Come home.
Come to the center.
Jesus said,
"Abide in me."
Not occasionally.
Not only on holy days.
Remain in Me.
Branches live because they remain connected to the Vine.
The center is not merely where life begins.
It is where life continues.
Zion Begins at the Center
Many imagine Zion as a city.
The Scriptures describe something much deeper.
Zion begins when Christ becomes the center of a people.
The Nemenhah teachings beautifully echo this truth.
When the Creator occupies the center...
fear begins to lose its power.
Competition gives way to cooperation.
Stewardship replaces ownership.
Mercy triumphs over judgment.
The closer hearts move toward Christ...
the closer they move toward one another.
That is why Zion is possible.
Not because everyone becomes identical.
But because everyone draws near to the same Savior.
Living Stones
The song reminds us,
"Lift the weary. Feed the hungry. Leave no soul to stand alone."
Those are not simply acts of kindness.
They are evidence that Christ truly occupies the center.
Peter described disciples as "living stones" built into a spiritual house.
Stones become a temple only when they are joined together.
A single stone cannot become a sanctuary.
The Kingdom is built as each life strengthens another.
Love is the mortar.
Christ is the cornerstone.
Written Upon the Heart
The ending says,
"The pattern was never only written on the page... It was always meant to be written upon our hearts."
That thought reaches back to Jeremiah's great prophecy.
The Lord promised a day when His law would no longer be written merely upon tablets...
but upon the hearts of His people.
The Nemenhah Sacred Records emphasize the same transformation.
The purpose of every teaching...
every ordinance...
every sacred pattern...
is inward change.
The Creator desires more than informed minds.
He desires transformed hearts.
The Daughter's Invitation
I love that this song carries the voice of a daughter.
Throughout Scripture, daughters often represent hope, tenderness, and the promise of future generations.
Her invitation is gentle.
Not demanding.
Not condemning.
Simply calling.
"Come to the center."
It sounds remarkably like the Savior Himself.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
The Father's invitation has never been driven by fear.
It has always been an invitation of love.
Home Is the Center
Perhaps heaven is not asking us to discover something entirely new.
Perhaps it is inviting us to return to what we have always known.
The peace we long for...
The unity we seek...
The Zion we hope to build...
All begin in the same place.
At the center.
Where Jesus Christ still waits.
Calling every wandering heart.
Healing every broken soul.
Gathering every scattered child.
And writing His law...
not merely upon stone...
but upon living hearts.
When Christ becomes the center...
everything else begins to find its proper place.
Families become stronger.
Communities become kinder.
The lonely discover they belong.
And Zion quietly begins to rise.
Not because we built something extraordinary.
But because we finally returned...
to the One...
who has always been...
at the center.
