ðŸŠķ THE DAUGHTER IN THE TEMPLE --- A Companion Reflection to The Endowment as a Walk

ðŸŠķ THE DAUGHTER IN THE TEMPLE

A Companion Reflection to The Endowment as a Walk

There is another thought that quietly sits beside the idea that endowment is a walk.

And I do not hear it spoken often.

But I feel it.

What if part of what sacred patterns once preserved… was the holy place of women?

Not at the margins.

At the center.

ðŸŒŋ Something Ancient

As I have pondered older covenant patterns, one thing keeps surfacing:

Mothers were not ornamental.

They were foundational.

Not spectators.

Stewards.

Not symbolic only.

Bearers of wisdom.

There is something ancient there.

Something Eden-like.

Something Zion-like.

❤️ The Sacred Feminine Was Never Missing

Perhaps forgotten in places.

But not missing.

Because wherever nurture, discernment, mercy, life-giving stewardship, and holy remembering are honored…

something of heaven is present.

I have wondered:

What if part of endowment includes learning to receive those divine attributes, not merely admire them?

That is bigger than roles.

That is sacred pattern.

🌄 The Council Begins in the Home

I have often been moved by the idea that Zion may begin less in hierarchy than in holy counsel.

Listening.

Mutual stewardship.

Love ordered wisely.

I once wrote:

Where mothers are heard, Zion begins.

I still believe that.

Deeply.

ðŸ”Ĩ Endowment as Shared Stewardship

If endowment is a walk, then surely it includes learning to walk together.

Man and woman.

Strength and tenderness.

Truth and mercy.

Covenant as companionship.

Not domination.

Not rivalry.

Union.

That feels temple-like to me.

Very temple-like.

🕊️ What If This Was Always Part of the Pattern?

What if sacred ascent was never only about individuals returning to God…

but relationships becoming holy enough to bear His presence?

Whew.

Sit with that.

Maybe the home was always part of the sanctuary.

Maybe marriage was always meant to teach consecration.

Maybe mothers carried pieces of Zion many of us have barely understood.

ðŸŒū The Daughter in the Temple

This phrase has stayed with me:

The daughter belongs in the temple pattern.

Not as decoration.

As revelation.

Because tenderness teaches.

Wisdom mothers.

Mercy governs.

And Zion cannot be built without those things.

Cannot.

✨ A Different Kind of Power

The world imagines power one way.

Heaven often another.

Power to nourish.

Power to gather.

Power to heal.

Power to hold a people together.

That is not lesser power.

That may be the deepest kind.

ðŸŠķ Interpretation

I sometimes wonder if part of restoration is not adding something new…

but remembering what was always there.

And perhaps one thing to remember is the sanctity of women in the pattern of Zion.

The mother.

The daughter.

The feminine wisdom that keeps covenant from becoming machinery.

Without that, religion hardens.

With it, it lives.

And maybe that too is part of the endowment as a walk.

A sacred companionship.

A holy stewardship.

A people learning to reflect heavenly wholeness.

That sounds a little like Zion.

And a lot like Christ.
